It's awesome dude, but it would be more awesome if they didn't edit the picture as you can see they are 2 Autographed RVD DVD's instead of 1 in the picture. Unfortunately they photoshopped my auto'd Chris benoit dvd on the right side.

I think it's time for wwe home video/genius to move there 4 major ppv Tin dvd promotion to another outlet. F.Y.E is fading fast which will only make these tins more hard to find and that doesn't benefit anyone other then the ebay hoarders.

The best choice would be Best Buy. I'm definately going to pick up that sucker this week.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

The only other logical choice would be Wal-Mart. Because now that Circuit City is done and F.Y.E. is fading fast, that pretty much leaves Best Buy and Wal-Mart as the only two major B&M outlets that could carry WWE Exclusive DVD releases.

If a 10th anniversary SmackDown DVD release ever comes out, I wouldn't doubt that Wal-Mart has an exclusive like it did with the 15th Anniversary of Raw.

Also, I'm glad to see that there's a Tin exclusive for Royal Rumble, but what really bothers me is that by the time we get to, say, Summerslam, coming out on DVD in September, FYEs will be so rare the tin exclusives will be almost impossible to find.

I'm seriously considering not getting the RR '09 tin, and just letting it be a '07-'08 set (WM 23, SummerSlam '07, Survivor Series '07, Royal Rumble '08, WM 24, SummerSlam '08, Survivor Series '08).

Kmart has a 2-disc exclusive on RR, ad doesn't mention price or content.

It looks it's Royal Rumble 2009 packaged with Royal Rumble 2008 - and if it's like the way they did it last year, it'll be $14.99. Great deal.

Picked up Backlash 2007 and Unforgiven 2007 at Circuit City for 50% off today for $9 each. Not too bad of a find.

Not if you bought that 2007/08 package deal last year at $14.99 and just want the 2009 event

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

He was one of the most controversial superstars in history of sports entertainment, through his complicated relationship with Miss Elizabeth, his dramatic WWE championship tournament run at WrestleMania IV, the formation and explosive breakup of the MegaPowers with Hulk Hogan, his reign as the Macho King, and his shocking jump to WCW. “Macho Man” Randy Savage brought a chaotic poetry to the ring. He’s widely considered one of the finest in-ring competitors of all time, and his interviews were always a sight to behold. For the first time ever, fans can relive the entire storied career in Macho Madness: The Ultimate Randy Savage Collection, a 3-DVD set that spans two decades of exciting and intense matchups.

Disc 1

WWE Debut
Randy Savage vs. Rick McGraw
Prime Time Wrestling July 9, 1985

Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat
Boston Garden December 7, 1985

WWE Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan
Madison Square Garden December 30, 1985

WWE Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship
Randy Savage vs. Tito Santana

Randy Savage vs. Bruno Sammartino
Boston Garden January 3, 1987

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat
WrestleMania III March 29, 1987

Randy Savage vs. Honky Tonk Man
The Main Event February 5, 1988

WWE Championship Tournament Final
Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase
WrestleMania IV March 27, 1988

Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship
Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase
Madison Square Garden June 25, 1988

Disc 2

Randy Savage & Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant & Ted DiBiase
SummerSlam August 29, 1988

WWE Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan
WrestleMania V April 2, 1989

WWE Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan
The Main Event March 22, 1990

Randy Savage / Sherri vs. Dusty Rhodes / Sapphire
WrestleMania VI April 1, 1990

Retirement Match
Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior
WrestleMania VII March 24, 1991

Randy Savage vs. Jake Roberts
This Tuesday in Texas December 3, 1991

WWE Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair
WrestleMania VIII April 5, 1992

Disc 3

WWE Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Shawn Michaels
European Rampage April 19, 1992

Randy Savage / Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair / Shawn Michaels
Worcester, MA July 22, 1992

WWE Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Yokozuna
RAW February 28, 1994

Lifeguard Match
Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair
Bash at the Beach July 16, 1995

WCW Championship Match
Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair
Nitro January 22, 1996

Falls Count Anywhere Match
Randy Savage vs. Diamond Dallas Page
Great American Bash June 15, 1997

WCW Championship Match
Randy Savage & Sid Vicious vs. Kevin Nash & Sting
Bash at the Beach July 11, 1999

************************************

Finally a Savage Disc, and half of the matches that they included were never released on DVD which is a plus, but the only problem that I have with it is that there is way to many WM matches and way to few WCW matches.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

No matter what the match list, the Savage set won't be complete without a documentary of some sort. Even if it's only a short one like the Starrcade set.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

So is the FYE exclusive of Royal Rumble 2009 an actual Steelbook like the ad scan says, or is it just a tin like the previous FYE WWE exclusives? I could care less about a tin, but I'd be all over a Steelbook.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

that savage dvd is bittersweet

so glad its coming out but my god there are some flaws
-way to many wwe early matches and to few wcw matches
-what about his WW3 win in 95
-ddp and savage had 3 great matches during there long fued in 97, they included the great american bash but what about the las vegas deathmatch from halloween havoc that ended it all
-he had a ton of big time matches and moments during the whole nwo storyline, big nitro matches vs hogan and others
-so many great interviews from both wcw and wwe were left out altogether

upset over the lack on wcw stuff, should of been 1 disc full of wcw matches

im glad i still have lots of his old wcw on tape from years back, that las vegas deathmatch is awesome and just as good if not better than the other ddp-macho matches they had
and i remember him and hogan had a couple big time world title matches from nitro in the late 90s
ddp dressed as la parka attacks macho man was great
so many great macho man moments from 96-98 were left out, only 1 match from that time period is a joke

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

as the self-proclaimed biggest Madness fan ever... i can say, i am actually pleasantly surprised with the match listing. sure the wcw match selection leaves something to be desired... but all in all, as long as they include the pre-match interviews throw in some vignettes and additional promos, it will be a very good set on the most entertaining and unique rassler of all time. It is by no means definitive, but still a worthy investment by any fan.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

I personally care more for his WWF days then his WCW so I am very happy with the listings. Also, I'm glad its just matches as compared to a documentary like they did on the Warrior.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

Call me crazy, but I wish the Savage/Rodman match from Road Wild 1999 was on there, if only because it was absolutely shocking how much better it ended up being, considering how horrible everyone thought it would be.

Anyone have any luck with the 2009 Rumble Tin? The last remaining FYE in my area told me they never recieved them.
