Hmm... Ya know I never really gave much thought to a jimmy snuka doc & match comp, but I think that may be a cool thing. Many fans don't give much thought to him other then him creaming backlund & muroco from the top, but he did have some great matches & brawls in other promotions and of course the wwf. The doc will be well worth it if we get the true story surrounding snuka's crazy behavior, his drug addiction and the mysterious death of his girlfriend/hooker.

Thanks. I just opened it to make sure all the discs were in place and scratch free. Weird packaging, how they're just 3 discs stacked on top of each other onto a single hub.

The Wrestlemania XX being sold on k-mart stores is exactly the same WMXX being packaged w/ the Raw Homecoming DVD exclusive to walmart stores is
the Wrestlemania XX Slimline Edition DVD Set (stacked packaging).

The holographic digipak set being sold last 2004 is the Limited edition version

Some of these matches are stinkers, I mean, Rick Martel vs Greg the Hammer Valentine? But some of them are really good. Like the Rick Rude vs Roddy Piper in a steel cage match.

I used to want to collect all the Colieseum Home Videos...until I realized how expensive some of them would be to get or find.

you happen to have the collosium video version of wrestlemania 5?

Robot Rock 03-10-09 01:45 AM

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

Were there any BIG edits in the Wrestlemania DVDs than on the Coliseum video versions? Because the video store had Wrestlemania 10 and 12 as well.

mainly music edits, by changing the original theme songs to something generic, and muting everytime someone says WWF

i like the wrestlemania IV packaging with the pop up hulkster in the center.

also im going to check out the summerslam packaging when i go out at lunch. im pretty sure its going to be like the packages in the cooler set. with the discs sliding in and out of cardboard slots. hope not though.

about the hogan-rock wrestlemania 18 that is on both
hogans 3 set
rocks 3 set

i heard they edited the crowd so that the cheers are not as loud, is this true, i believe on the hogan 3 disc dvd the announcers voice seems low and everything is turned down? is this the same on the rocks dvd

I noticed the cheers on the Rock and Hogan DVD aren't that loud compared to the original WMX8 DVD. So it does seem like WWE edited the crowd noise a bit on those DVDs but on the WMX8 it seems like its the same as the original broadcast.

Also does anyone know how the packaging is on the Summerslam volumes? is it the same?

Also i believe the music is changed too, on the Hogan and Rock dvd's its the updated verison of the NWO theme, when on the WM X8 dvd and on ppv, it was Voodoo Child right?

Not to mention Hogan & Rock's DVDs are both blurred versions.

I saw both Summerslam anthologys at Best Buy today. I couldn't tell if the packaging is different or the same. I did noticed that both sets were in a cardboard box, but the box itself wasn't very big, sorta the thin size that it regularly came in.

Amazon currently has the Summerslam Anthology packs for 33.99 a piece. It's a no brainer to pick up volume one and two since the MSRP is 59.99 on these.

I have Wrestlemania 17 but the security sticker on top of the case was to tight there is residue on the plastic on top of the case after I removed it.
