Best place to buy DVD-sized shipping boxes?

Morning all,

I have plenty of padded envelopes for DVD shipping, but I'm also in need of some smaller, DVD-sized boxes for the more fragile (read: digipak) ones. Where's the best place to get these in-store? I don't need many, but I can always keep them around for future shipments.

i use the smaller USPS priority boxes. they are free from usps.com.
if i plan on sending media mail i just cover it with brown paper.

You do realize that is unlawful, of course. It states right on the packaging itself. I remember receiving a few of those "Priority" boxes turned inside out with some eBay purchases.

Yeah, I'm sending them USPS First Class, so that's a no-go.

Those are pretty economical.

Not bad, but not sure if that's an in-store deal as well.
Not looking to buy online at this point, mainly due to shipping costs for these.

That would be an interesting thread of its own to see who does.

You mean Amazon and DD don't collect the tax, that doesn't mean your state doesn't expect you to pay it when you file your tax returns. If there's any state that exempts out-of-state internet purchases from its ordinary sales tax scheme, I'm not aware of it.

Me too. I keep every box from every DVD purchase made. CH boxes for single DVDs work great.

You can also wrap it with newspaper or cardboard and put it in a bubble mailer (or enevelope w/ bubble wrap). Even with digipaks, this works great. They are stronger than you think.

I haven't bought a bubble mailer or mailing box in 6 years. I re-use everything I get and just mail CDs/DVDs in envelopes surrounded by bubble wrap. Works about as good as a mailer and is MUCH cheaper.
