Season set or nothing for me. As much as I like the show, they will just end up with a box set at some point.

The only reason i would buy the 4 episode set is if it was merged into a seemless movie with no credits. Glad to see the season set is being worked on.

It's fantastic! I wish the full season set would come soon. I'll skip the volume releases.

I enjoy it as well. I like how it has focused more on other characters than just Obi, Ani, and the others from the films. The other Jedi, Villians, and Clones get more screen time. The only thing that kinda threw me at first was the opening dialogue on each episode which i understand is supposed to be like older War type news footage. I have gotten used to it but its odd. The theme song as well is a tad weird at first for me but im used to it now. Definitely recommended viewing for any SW fan IMO.

These episodes are already available for $1.99 apiece on iTunes. Since there are no features attached to this 4-episode compilation, it's awfully hard to justify spending an extra $12 just to have a DVD. That's $12 I can put toward a component cable to connect my iPod to our HDTV and not be restricted to watching them on a 2-inch screen.

It's probably more along the lines of parents rather spending a lower price on a dvd for their kids than paying for a full season set.

I wish I could remember where I read about the possibility of another animated show. It might have been in an interview in Star Wars Insider.

I will pass on this as well. I hate these volume sets!! Full seasons or nada! While I'm thinking about it.....WB really needs to put out full seasons of Legion of SuperHeroes!

I missed the theatrical release entirely, and while I haven't been a dedicated, weekly viewer I will say I've enjoyed what I've seen. Like most things Star Wars, it's best at a fast pace without too many questions. In spirit, I would say it's actually more akin to Teen Titans than the Star Wars films.

Will be holding out for the season boxes as well.

I'm a little confused though. Is this the original 2D animated series, or the current 3D one? I've been looking for the originals recently and they seem to have vanished from store shelves.

I was a cynical bastard and didn't have much intrest in this series either at first. But I managed to catch the movie at a friends house and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

And for the record, both volumes of the original clone wars series, the ewok cartoons, the droid cartoons, and the ewok movies are all oop.

If... If... I end up buying Clone Wars, I'll not only get it on Blu-ray, but I'll wait until the series is over.

I've not been horribly impressed with what I've seen so far (which hasn't been much), and this is something that I can see wearing out its welcome before long. Five seasons seems like a long time for something like this.

And I don't fully trust Lucasfilm to deliver a consistently quality product over five seasons, either considering that only two of the six movies are really "great" movies.

Well yeah, I'll probably stick with it as long as the story is decent.

Really the only problem I've been having with it is trying to think of the brave, generally likeable combat leader from the animations as being the same whiny punk who became the Emperors bitch at the drop of a hat.

Plus knowing that little miss perky Padiwan is destined to buy it by the end of the story.
