Why did these family titles, some of them months old, suddenly pop up on the charts? Does this reflect Spring Break, price drops, special promotions or do kid's titles naturally have a long sales life?

I wouldn't claim to know definitively, but remember this time of year is second only to Christmas for home video sales--and it's all driven by titles that will find their way into Easter baskets. I think that's reflected in the top ten as a whole, really.

I just discovered several other video charts on Billboard. Not only is there a TV on DVD sales chart...there's actually still a VHS chart! (For the record, this week's best selling VHS title is...Faerie Tale Theatre: Snow Queen.)
