I remember one sketch with Bob Dole running.

Shame this show didn't last long, but it was the first time we were introduced to The Ambiguously Gay Duo.

Which were voiced by Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell.

I'll probably pick this up sometime if the price is right. It definitely had it's moments, just check out some of the sketches floating around youtube.

It's also worth nothing the number of people that were involved either on screen or as writers. Aside from Carvey there's Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell, Louis CK, Dino Stamatopoulos, Jon Glaser, Robert Smigel and Charlie Kaufman. That's not bad for a show that was a failure and didn't even survive one season.

Dave Chappelle was also part of the writing staff.

If I hadn't already watched all eight episodes repeatedly on Hulu, I'd have bought this for sure. As it is, I'll pick it up if it has some worthwhile extras.

Hmm... The link to the amazon.com page from the tvshowsondvd page now says "Stars of the 90's"

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001LRL4XI

I never saw this show, but it has always been of great intrigue to me and I will definitely pick this up if it is indeed coming to DVD.

This has been availalbe on Netflix instant view. I enjoyed it, perhaps mostly from nostalgia, although I think it still holds up pretty well.

Moved to May 12th.

And if the Netflix versions are any indication, the episodes are cut, here and there. The Taco Bell episode removed a lot of the Taco Bell references, for example.

I did not even know this was available on DVD until last night when he appeared on the Tonight Show with Conan O' Brien.

How was he?

He was doing his impressions as usual and making some jokes about Sotomoyer and the guy from Dos Equis "Stay Thirsty My Friend" commercials.

Picked it up about 6 weeks ago.

Most of it is still funny, some is hard to watch...

Also saw a new stand up special with him a couple of weeks ago, he was good, long bit about presidential candidates...

They're all on Hulu, in case anyone wants to see them. I've watched the first two episodes so far. I keep forgetting to go back to view the rest.

Did anyone buy the dvd and notice if it was edited?

Does Shout Factory like to charge a premium price for all their shows?

$17.49 at Amazon is kind of high for just 8 episodes (where the shows were probably less than 30 minutes long) and just a couple of deleted scenes.

$11.91 at DeepDiscount after the 25% off, a much more respectable price.

I am not giving my money to deepdiscount

they ripped me off on a CD and they have zero customer service

Watching this on Hulu right now. I had all the episodes on a VHS tape from when they originally aired (probably still do, somewhere). Just happened upon this while browsing Hulu the other day. It's really bringing back some great memories.
