I was trying to figure out the 300 number anyway. I always thought it was for responses, but now I'm assuming they are thread starters? I'm confused about that one. I looked back at my responses here and it seemed stuck on 309, we'll see what it says when I post this.
EDIT:
OK, it went up one. Well anyway, I guess I'm just not a post whore! I always try to say something meaningful or add to the conversation.

It appears you've had several additional usernames (headless, mpheadless) in your tenure here. That's definitely not allowed!

The DVD Bargains forum isn't going anywhere, so it isn't like people who don't sign up are missing on the same deals that everyone else sees. And really, the only discussion in the Premium forum is how much cooler we are. It's not going to replace other discussion forums when there's far less people there to discuss them and get info.
Ye-ah! Who's laughing now, bitches?

Oh great! Now I'm going to be blackmailed into buying the upgrade or get booted off again!
Seriously, I don't think headless, unless I had forgotten my password or something. As far as I know I only had one before.
I wonder how far back the posts go if I do a search for that old username?
Edit: nothing. Too old. I guess they didn't keep the postings when they upgraded to this style of forum a few years ago.

Were there really people posting requests for a premium paid forum service?! This is the first I've even heard of it.
I may be in the minority here, but even a one-time payment of $10 seems too much for those features, let alone $10-20/year.

My thoughts exactly. If Geoff still owned the site I'd happily contribute to help him cover his costs. But I don't see the point in giving my money to some big company for a handful of features that are of no real benefit. It's not as if paying the premium means no more ads or the return of XCritic.

If it leaks quickly deals will stop being posted, if it doesn't leak quickly, more members should be able to get in on the deal. Anyway, that's my theory but we'll only find out by trying it.
Also, if a premium member leaks it, it will be easier to see who leaked it since it wouldn't tend to be a lurker. Not that anything would happen to them. Hmm...

I don't really care about the premium area, I have no intention of joining just so that I may be able to get screeners (I could be wrong - but I am pretty sure that you will find out you may lose your screener privileges if you go down that road). The prospect that the premium area may start detracting from the rest of the site does concern me. I've been here almost since the beginning. I've never jumped ship to any other forum (never had the time or the desire). But hey, new captain, new ship rules.
