I know it's way early to be posting this, but I am so happy to get more legit releases of Christina Lindberg's films.

On a related note, she will be making a U.S appearance at the "Cinema Wasteland Expo" in Ohio on April 3-5, 2009.

LickTheABCs 12-01-08 02:13 PM

Awesome.

Eye patch or not, Christina Lindberg is just mmhmm "sookie sookie now" what! Will be a nice addition. Next to "Maid in Sweden" and "Anita". EDIT: Oh, I guess I can add "Sex & Fury" to that list.

Wow, I've always thought about going but her appearance would be the show stopper for me.

I was going to last year when Don Edmonds and Dyanne Thorne attended, but I was late to plan.

Though I'm already going to Fangoria again in L.A next year with my girlfriend, I might fly out to Ohio to meet Christina Lindberg.

Problem is getting time off work when the conventions are 11-12 days apart from each other :)

I heard about this coming out. More Christina is always a good thing. :)

I know what you mean. I wanted to go to the Texas Frightmare Weekend last year to see George Romero but it was too close to Comic-Con 2007. Turned, I got to meet George at last summer's Comic-Con. Nice guy and a lot taller than I expected.

Isn't he? I got to meet him a couple of years ago and he was the nicest, most down to earth guy imaginable. It's funny - every interview I've ever seen with him he's been wearing this tan fisherman's vest (I guess that's what you'd call it), and he was sporting the same vest when I met him.

You missed a great panel discussion. Dyanne looks fabulous and they all had great stories to tell. A few months ago was another great panel with David Friedman, Jeff Leiberman and David Hewitt talking about 42nd Street and the Drive-in circuit. Cinema Wasteland really shines when they get these legends together.

Hopefully I'll get to fly out this year.

After seeing the vendor tables/guests at Fangoria in LA this year, I'm curious to what Cinema Wasteland has to offer :)

I saw George at that Texas Frightmare Weekend, I waited till the very end because his line was ridiculous! I kept walking back and forth past Tom Savini and Jeffrey Combs like a stalker because I was too shy to say anything!

Agreed. The more of her films on DVD the better :)

He is pretty tall. But not huge, FYI, I am 5'5", so pretty damned short.

I did.

I was going to watch it last night but a pigeon flew onto my pillow and I spent the next 6 hours swatting it away. Either that, or I was watching Arrested Development. One of the Two.

Glad to hear you guys picked it up. Here's hoping for more R1 Lindberg releases in the future.

Hope someone grabs the rights to Journey To Japan and throws some English Subs on that sucka.

Also because I mentioned it in my OP, still bummed I wasn't able to fly out to Cinema Wasteland to meet Christina this weekend :(
