DVD Profiler 3.5 Is Out
Just tried to add a DVD & the program said the database file was incompatible with the latest version (was released sometime yesterday):
DVD Profiler 3.5 Check the Release Notes out, looks like they've added some cool features, especially custom collection list view. |
Been running the 3.5 Beta for the last month or so and its been pretty good. Just updated to the 1240 final release version and its faster than 3.1 was on my computer. Worth the upgrade.

just updated. looks good, don't see any immediate differences though
|
I still wish the online display would be updated with more options and let separate films in box sets be displayed in a collapsable form with their respective box.
|
Supposedly they're planning a subscription-based version, with new online features as part of it...DVD Profiler Plus.
|
Does DVD Profiler provide an import capability yet?
|
thanks for the info. will upgrade later tonight.

Thanks for the info.

I've been toying with getting this since DVD Spot went under, but the $30 price tag and lack of mobile features w/o shelling out another $18 is quite a bite. I don't like how it doesn't have a dedicated Loaned view so I can see who's got what. Odd oversight. What's this subscription thing supposed to offer?

I love this program. I went to add soem new stuff last night, and got the popup about a new version. Ignored the popup, and the program started going crazy and crashed. Upgraded, and now it works beautifully. I have noticed this with the last few updates. That the program gets a little buggy.

Haven't patched mine yet, but when I want to add films on the current version (now previous?), it keeps crashing when it's trying to read the online database - even before the window pops up for me to add new titles. Presumably this issue won't remain if I go ahead and update?

When I went to update the other day, it said something like the downloaded database wasn't for the version I was using, that's how I knew to check for the new one.

Yep. Happened to me as well. Basically forced me to update so I could add some titles. Nice.
|
I haven't noticed any difference between this and the last version.

That's an excellent feature I've been waiting a while for! |
I haven't done that yet-how does it work? Does it count the disks making up the set as separate disks in your collection? I like for each title/package to count as one, but I wouldn't mind if it had drilldown capability for the disks within a set.
And if I didn't do it when adding the title initially, can I go back and tell it to do so? Answered my own question..it appears to add each disk as a separate entry/entry number in your collection. I don't think I like that, it's a little too granular for me. And I should have tested with something other than a 17disk box set. |

Re: DVD Profiler 3.5 Is Out
Has anyone installed the Mobile Profiler? I got a Moto Q9c with Windows Mobile and was wondering if it works fine in that cell phone.
