Funny thing is I actually wrote wwe.com about this Buddy Roberts/Patterson mix-up. I'm sure they figured it out before my e-mail.

Cactus Jack, WWE Live and Unscripted was a DVD that showed behind the scenes footage of magazine shoots. It was a special gift that was given to people who subscribed to the WWE magazine for a year. I recently won one on greedbay for $7. It was item #140261197875. You can see the pic there.
I also won Trish Stratus special collector's edition recently as part of 4 dvd's for $25. It was item #370106411903. A few months ago someone paid $100 for a fake so you never know.

I'm glad they're putting a documentary with the Starrcade set as by putting the matches on 24/7 before the DVD came out seemed counter-productive to maximizing sales. They put things like the Raw 15th anniversary on 24/7 months after they release the dvd. I know that the Starrcade set has been delayed but it seems like the WWE is expecting low sales for this one.

I hadn't really planned on getting the IC set anyway, so it's no big loss. It's cool that WWE pointed it out themselves, though.

The starrcade set is going to turn out to be a disappointment, after all. How did Flair/Vader manage to get voted as the #1 match, anyway? I would have really liked to have seen some stuff from '99 and '00, too.

I guess it's just a case of opening it up and seeing what is inside. I have ordered a copy from the US as the UK version doesn't come in the "book style" packaging.

For the ROH completists

They finally started offering subscriptions, where essentially you get the next few dvd's on release day and with no shipping charges.

I was just reading about that. Personally, I don't see it taking off. The 6 disc sub is $119.95, just a nickel less than the regular price. I don't know about anyone else, but I tend to wait until the next decent % off sale before buying the new shows anyway.

I always figured the regular ROH buyers were getting their dvds during B3G1 sales (or %off sales like Ed said) which comes out less than this subscription idea, even with shipping. Plus you get stuck with any mediocre shows that might sneak inbetween the good ones.

Maybe they got the idea from the Funk U DVD club.

Oh and speaking of Big Vision, here is the upcoming releases listed on their site:

11/10/08 XPW: Cold Day In Hell
TBD: NWA: Reclaiming The Glory (2 Disc Set)
1/13/09 XPW Cold Day In Hell (2 Disc Set)
1/13/09 XPW Cold Day In Hell - Deluxe Edition (BluRay)
1/20/09 Before They Were Stars - Matt Sydal: Bourne Is Born
1/27/09 LuchaMania Box Set (NWA Copa De Lucha, NWA Fiesta Lucha, Revolucha
Dia De Los Muertos, ¡Vive Guerrero!)
2/10/09 Choose Death: Inside The Mind Of A Wrestling Mad Man - The Best of
Necro Butcher
3/10/09 Heroes of World Class (Value Priced Edition - Single Disc)
3/10/09 Heroes of World Class - Deluxe Edition (BluRay)

I am looking for that Trish! Nice pickup for $25.00!!! I wouldn't pay $100.00 for it tho. I'm jealous!

I think you should be given credit by WWE home video for founding out the misprint.

I'm glad to see Big Vision continue the "Before They Were Stars" DVDs with Sydal - it'll be interesting to see just what footage they mine for it, because if it's ROH stuff, it should be a fantastic set. I'm also somewhat intrigued by the Reclaiming the Glory NWA set.

picked up the IC title along with No Mercy 2008 (both releases are Nov. 25 in Canada) and noticed when cashing out they had an open box with new dvds and Blu-rays and they had several Kane and Edge DVDs without price tags so likely just received them. I hope those will be released early as well, going to check next Tuesday if they put them out.

Got the Eddie Guerrero 4-disc at FYE...my FYE in Shirley, NY also had a copious amount of the limited edition Hell in a Cell set (both in UT and Kane)

I also now have Rock Bottom IYH ($13) and HBK: Heartbreak and Triumph ($10) for sale and trade. My sale price is in parentheses and if you're buying, shipping is $2.

edit: I sold the Wrestlemania 2000.

Try not remembering because the Tiger Mask shared by Throwback is not Satoru Sayama but the Tiger Mask Anime character.

Hopefully WWE keeps up the good best-of releases every 2 weeks like they have planned for the next few months
