There is a sticker on each set... both are clear as day...
3 DISC SET and 4 DISC SET. The employees obviously aren't aware
of much as they already had the set out for sale when its not
released until Tuesday.

Oh, and the 'DX vs The McMahons' DVD with Smackdown vs RAW 2009 is online-only. I tried to get it in the store, and there was no mention of it.

Best Buy Exclusive SEVEN Disc TIN set

In this week's Sunday newspaper insert ads, Best Buy is advertising an exclusive Eddy Guerrero SEVEN disc collector's tin edition with more than 1000 minutes of Eddy footage for $39.99. That is three more discs than the UK set!

A ten-year anniversary set has been heavily rumored, which would make perfect sense for next year. The great thing about a SD set is that it probably wouldn't have matches that have been overused, unlike some RAW matches in DVD sets. I'd love to see some Rock/Austin/HHH stuff from '99-'01, some Hogan stuff from '02, Angle/Lesnar/Big Show stuff from '03, matches with Batista from late '05, just about anything from '07, and maybe some HHH/Hardy/MVP stuff from this year. A good three-disc set has a LOT of potential.

a smackdown dvd would be much better than i dont know, a kane dvd to name 1

smackdown could feature lots of great moments and matches, remember the iron man match with lesnar-angle, remember also when big show got suplexed and the ring broke, tag team buried alive match with rock and sock

thats just to name a few, they could easily do a 3 disc jamed packed with great stuff

p.s. does anybody remember the very first smackdown, it was not a weekly show, it was a 1 night event and it had hbk returnto ref the main event, then i believe a year later they made it a regular program

The First SD was taped 4/27/99 and aired 4/29/99 and then it premierd as a full time series 8/26/99.

Some new DVD news from today's Observer site news update -
Infinity Entertainment Group is putting out a DVD of old USWA footage from Memphis built around early matches of Jerry Lawler, Undertaker (as The Punisher), Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett and Steve Austin, as well as bouts wit Terry Funk and Kerry Von Erich, called Ultimate Classic Wrestling Presents, which will be released on Tuesday. They also just released a DVD of footage focused on former ECW stars like Francine, Balls Mahoney, Terry Funk, Sandman, Public Enemy, Raven and Sabu.
This is a two-disc set, and could be good depending on just what USWA footage is used. I'm also interested in that ex-ECW stars DVD as well, but haven't found any info on it online.

And the HBK refereed HHH/Rock match was on the first regular Smackdown episode (8/26).

I'm not surprised, but it still sucks to see the HHH/Benoit match not included.

Hey Throwback, I remember that hogan fiberglass statue being up for auction a few years back. Is that where you got it and did they throw in the smaller version when you bought the life sized one.

Picked up the TNA "Cross The Line" 3 pack yesterday with the 2008 editions of Victory Road, No Surrender and Hard Justice, went for $19.99. The dvd covers are simply the PPV logo, and on the back match listing. Still worth it, plus getting anything early is always good. I picked it up at Best Buy, and stopped in another BB earlier Saturday and they had it too, so be on the lookout.

No sign of the Eddie DVD out early around here on Long Island.

Anyone have details on how I could obtain the Christian Cage "Variant" DVD with the 8th match, the 3way from Impact. Thanks in advance!

I still need 08 Sacrifice, 08 Slammiversary, Best of 07, Bloodiest Brawls (the latest one) to have the complete TNA dvd library.

Oh, and I was able to obtain a sealed Royal Rumble 2008 dvd with card pack 4 of 4. How'd everyone else do getting that title? Willing to make a deal for it if you can help me complete my TNA collection or "Attitude" dvd collection, I was lucky enough to get Undertaker "Phenom" for $6.99!

I heard about that and i think ShopTNA is the place to get it. I remember before they updated the store website, they had the description and it said "includes 8 extra matches" and Rhino/Christian/Angle was listed.

I picked up the Cage DVD last year and it only has 7 matches.

I hope the 'pilot' comes in full as a bonus disc, like the first RAW did with the RAW XV DVD.
