Best Buy exclusives: Tv shows packed in lunch boxes

I was in Best Buy the other night and stumbled on a display that featured first seasons of TV shows in lunch boxes. The boxes are not as deep as a normal one but I was amused with this packaging and bought The Partridge Family. Other shows that I recall include: Charlie's Angels, The Facts of Life (which included the first two seasons), Starsky and Hutch and several others. They were $19.99 each.

Looking at the Best Buy website, it looks like there are 8 shows that have season 1 re-releases all at $19.99 on 11/2:

Charlie's Angels
Diff'rent Strokes
Facts of Life
Fantasy Island
Good Times
Partridge Family
Silver Spoons
Starsky & Hutch

Still thinking about it, especially since there are no picture and description on the site for these. However, I might get Charlie's Angels, Starsky & Hutch, and the Partridge Family if they look good. I've been waiting for a good chance to get these at $15, but I might be willing to pay a little more for the lunchboxes (which I would actually use).

I'm tempted. If they look decent, I decide the boxes could be used to store something, and I can find a coupon to bring the price down, I'll probably pick up a couple.

Those are some pretty neat cases, if only there was a single show on the list I had even a passing interest in.

Exactly. Where's my Jack Bauer lunchbox and thermos?

The ones I have an interest in I already own...I don't see myself double dipping for a lunch box.

I'll have to pick up the Charlie's Angels lunch box and possibly Fantasy Island.

Yup....at least the "Fantasy Island" one that I picked up today. They just took the original box and placed it in the lunchbox without any padding. Mine was fine though.

Few of the corners were pretty dinged up on my end. Which is no surprise, they sound like they are taking a beating pretty good in there.

I went back and got Fantasy Island which somehow I didn't notice last week. It seems to be the deal of the sets as Amazon and DD (before 25% discount) have it for $38 solo and BB has it for $20 with the lunchbox.

Great idea. I'm sure there were actual lunch boxes for a lot of those shows. Why not use the original artwork?

My vote would be for a Battlestar Galactica (1970's) set in a reproduction of the original lunchbox. Ditto Buck Rogers.

Putting the original Star Wars trilogy on blu-ray inone of these (without the rust) would probably be too much to hope for.
