Wow, this looks gory as all hell. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Hopefully Netflix has this version. I want to see the new one, good to check it out beforehand.

Ouch, the review on the site, is a bit of a letdown. Sounds like the restored footage wasn't remastered and is quite obvious when it pops in.

As long as it's not taken from an old VHS tape, than I'm satisfied. I can deal with a few scratches and bits of dirt.

I just hope the restored footage doesn't look as bad as the uncut footage in Silent Night, Deadly Night.

Re: Original My Bloody Valentine gets a SE

Some of the uncut scenes are now on youtube. It's just someone filming their tv so the quality sucks but it still gives you a good idea.

Anyone see this in stores yet? Catalog titles on a second release sometimes show up on Best Buy or Walmart shelves a few days early.

If it's only as bad as SNDN I'd be OK with it, I'm worried it's gonna look worse. Better to have it in there regardless though.

Re: Original My Bloody Valentine gets a SE

I got my Review copy yesterday...of course, 20 minutes after Amazon decided to ship this movie two days early (unlike the past 200+ titles I've ordered from them grrr). So looks like I'll have an extra one for sale if anyone is interested.

Anyways, this one comes with a nice slip cover. Looking forward to giving it a spin tonight.

Re: Original My Bloody Valentine gets a SE

Just wanted to let everyone know that the new DVD is only $13.00 at Walmart. I picked up a copy this morning and so far the deleted footage doesn't look that bad. I am very happy

$13.00 is the best you are gonna get it in a store....
http://www.hotmoviesale.com has a thing where you get $5 off plus free shipping....
So it ends up being $9.78 there....

Best Buy's price is $14.99. I went there as there are no convenient Wal-Marts in Los Angeles.

Did you read the whole thing? It doesn't seem like it....
I assumed most of you would have the common sense to read the whole thing....
You use it on the one deal & cancel right away....
I don't see anything wrong with that....
There's no reason to be rude about it....

Have you successfully used it once and then cancelled?
