I doubt an extra 7 min could save this movie, IMO. It just wasn't funny. I really wanted to like it, but the laughs just weren't there.

scarface983 10-01-08 09:50 AM

yea there were like 1 or 2 funny parts.

Giles 10-01-08 10:08 AM

the trailer alone made me cringe.

I just laugh looking at Will Ferell face. C'mon who doesn't like "Boats & Ho's" I laughed the whole movie. I can't get enough of him playing pissed off.

I found the movie much funnier than I expected. I'll pick up it somewhere down the line.

Blind buy for me once it hits the bargain bin

Loved this. I cant wait around for a used or bargain bin price.

They should've gotten this movie out this week with Forgetting Sarah Marshall. No one will care in December.

That commentary sure as hell sounds interesting and seals the deal of a blind-buy for me. Is this the first time a commentary track has been scored (by a noted musician no less) ?

Nope. Nancy Wilson did some live scoring during Cameron Crowe's commentary on Vanilla Sky :)

Okay, what the hell? I bought the one disc version of this movie, and can't find an option to switch between the Unrated and Theatrical versions anywhere in the menu. The disc just sort of chooses something for you.

I must be missing it. Any help?

I'm not sure since I have the 2 disk. maybe you're skipping over the option when you skip the previews? it was the first menu I saw, but I didn't see it every time...if I recall correctly.

Oh no...you mean I have to sit through the previews?

Awful news, but you could be right, dick grayson. I'll report back.

I rented it from Blockbuster, so I'm assuming it's the same one disc version you have. When you click play on the main menu it takes you to a second menu that asks if you want theatrical or unrated.

It's an amazing commentary. It has a score as is mentioned, but the two main actors actually sing with it quite often. You'll have a blast.

^ know. I listened to it and it was great fun. The score and the singing was so off the wall and out there but I thought it was great. One of the best DVD releases of last year.
