**Universal** has announced a November 4th release date for The Gregory Peck Film Collection.

The 7-disc set will contain two previously released titles, To Kill a Mockingbird (Special Edition) and Cape Fear (1962) and four titles new to DVD, Arabesque (1966), Mirage (1965), Captain Newman, M.D (1963) and The World in His Arms (1952). To Kill a Mockingbird and Cape Fear will be the exact same as previously released and the only additional bonus feature is a theatrical trailer for The World in His Arms.

Retail price is 59.98

Wow, I have no recollection of the 4 new titles and I was already born when 3 of them came out. Any thoughts of these 4 new titles?

The World in His Arms is a film I've been wanting to see, so...I hope I can give it a rent.

Mirage and Arabesque are two suspense thrillers that I look forward too.

Mirage and Arabesque are romantic thrillers patterned after Charade. Mirage also pays homage to Spellbound as amnesiac Peck tries to figure out what happened to him while he's being chased around New York City. Arabesque, which costars Sophia Loren, is more of an international "wrong man on the run" chase thriller similar to North by Northwest.

Captain Newman MD is a good psychiatric movie that featured Bobby Darin's best performance (and only Oscar nomination).

If you don't already have Cape Fear or Mockingbird, this one is a definite pickup. If you've got both of them it's kind of iffy. I've got Cape Fear but not Mockingbird so I'll get this one if it's at a decent price.

I don't like that artwork at all. It looks cheesy.

But I'll still buy this one. I wish they'd get a Rita Hayworth collection together.

DVDBeaver review. I wish all box sets had slim cases.

Me too. But as I already have To Kill A Mockingbird and don't care that much about the others, I'll take a pass on this.

I do like Arabesque, even though Peck is miscast in this. At that time of his life, he just couldn't pull off the physicality needed for the role. Another Cary Grant / Sophia Loren pairing would have been a real winner. IIRC, Peck even told Loren to stop running so fast as he had a hard time keeping up with his bad leg.

I'll wait for the eventual single film release of this or wait for Blu-Ray.

Problem solved, if you are a Netflix user. Mirage is available as a rental.
