A possible Futureshop Exclusive Steelbook? or a Lenticular Packaging?

tofferman 08-25-08 12:44 PM

Missed it in the theater and will blind buy it for the kids. Please, no digital copy on the two- disc version Dreamworks!

I am surprised there was only 2 replies since I thought this would be a 2 page thread unless I searched wrong.

I don't understand why the 2 disc special edition comes in 2 separate dvd cases attached to each other like it was one of those 2 pack dvds sets you get at Wal-Mart?

Any news on any freebies or store exclusives?

It was a great flick, for kids AND adults. I was all ready to call it the best animated film of the year.... but then I saw Wall-E :)

SPRBD 11-01-08 01:11 PM

The Sunday date is offical. There is a billboard across form my building which has the Sunday release date on it.

Can you get the Furious Five disc if you buy the Blu-ray?

JustinDM 11-01-08 05:58 PM

This was a very unexpectedly good movie. I might pick it up if it comes in a Steelbook Version.

Cameron 11-01-08 06:52 PM

i loved this movie, and hope for some extra disc content...hope to see some more exclusives.

JeffTheAlpaca 11-02-08 04:29 AM

I checked my Amazon cart and it said the widescreen 2 pack 2 disc special edition was no longer available.

I hope it did not sell out.

Moleman1138 11-02-08 06:08 AM

They also bumped Shrek the Halls to 10/31. 2 surprises for me.

LorenzoL 11-02-08 10:49 AM

Here in Canada, Future Shop is listing the movie to come out on Friday 11/07/08.

I'm disappointed that they are not coming up with an exclusive for this movie.

scarface983 11-02-08 03:49 PM

i might pick this up also

Adrenaline 11-02-08 07:56 PM

Getting it free from Columbia House for their screwy Order System

LorenzoL 11-09-08 06:55 AM

I picked this movie up with the Furious Five DVD for $23.83 at Wal-Mart on Friday. The only disappointing thing about the DVD is that the Kung Fu Panda teasers and trailers are not included.

Anyone know if its included anywhere else?

Is that American or Canadian price? Also is that for the two pack DVD set? Obviously, if that's US price, its useless for me.

Rammsteinfan 11-09-08 11:53 AM

I picked up the 2 pack for $15.99 yesterday at U.S. BB. Great set for the price.

shacmasta 11-09-08 02:29 PM

Anyone get there hands on the panda figurine? My best buy of course ran out, Anything worth the trouble?

Liquid Death 11-09-08 02:40 PM

The figurines are really small. Smaller than two inches tall, like something you'd have on a keychain.

I picked up the 2-pack for that price myself. I ended up getting the FS version because we still have a FS TV and I think the kids will like it better that way. I'll eventually get a WS version when I pick up the Blu-ray. I did the same thing for Cars and it worked out OK.

The "Secrets of the Furious 5" was OK - not greta. The kids seemed to like it.

ChristianB 11-09-08 09:57 PM

FYI, the DVD has a misprint on the back. It says 1.85:1, when the film is 2.35:1 :)

It's barely over 1" tall. TINY. I grabbed an extra though. If you really want it, I can send it out to ya, I suppose. I wonder if I can mail that with just a stamp?
