Once Upon A Time....Spectrum (Korea)?
Hello everyone,
Yes I know, another "Once Upon A Time In China" question ;) I did some searches and seems that HKL puts out the best product, but I noticed that Spectrum had also put out a Trilogy box set, but I have not found any reference to their quality of work or just typing the wrong references while searching? Either way, I take it someone has to know about this and if this is just another packaged trilogy of bad transfers in a pretty box? Seems like a Region 3 version of Fortune Star (remastered collector's edition), or vice versa? w w w . dvdasian.com/_e/Hong_Kong/product/18116/Once_Upon_A_Time_In_China_1_2_3_Trilogy_Remastered_Edition_3_DVD_Box_Set_Region_3_. h t m *Had to space "w w w ." and ". h t m" because of first posting rules :| Thanks for any help and sorry for having to create another of these lol :D |
I have the identical Hong Kong discs. They come with very nice remastered picture, DTS and Dolby 5.1 remixes as well as the original mono tracks, and have 3 short featurettes on Wong Fei Hung. I recommend them.
dvdtalk has a review of the korean set: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/15814...orean-version/ |
Thanks for the info and link. I thought I recognized the set from another webpage, must have glanced over that review while searching :)
To avoid making another thread, anyone know the differences between: The Warlords (Jet Li) Director's Cut and Special Edition? Director's Cut boxset: 3 disc, Region 3, NR, Mega Star Video, 127mins. Special Edition + booklet set: 2 disc, Region 3, NR, Mega Star, 127mins. Mainly looking for best, uncut quality of picture...I really hate that movies are remastered and boxed over and over again, confusing me further :( |
