Dinner for Five: The Complete Series - Is it worth it?

I've missed this show being on IFC and considered purchasing it on Amazon (they have all 5 seasons for $67), but I wanted to know from those who do have it if it's worth buying. I do remember a thread some time ago about this (and the disc quality), but the search came up with nothing.

I remember the thread from some time back too. I believe it was said that the discs were dvd-r's or something, if I'm recalling correctly.

Okay I can give you my experience.... I bought the single releases each set had a different number of discs (2-5, some with only 2 or 3 episodes) And all of them were DVR's, I had trouble with a few of them. So I decided to get the box set and was very surprised to see that all the discs are officially pressed dvd's ..... Season 1 is missing the extras you would get if you bought the single release.... Other than that the set is very nice and if you are as big a fan of the show as I am it was well worth the price....

Hope this helps!

Great, thanks guys :)

What I may end up doing is buying the set and then just buying the first season on its own for the extras (I see some going for around $5-10 w/ shipping).

Actually, the problem with the discs was corrected and then repackaged. The edition currently sold on amazon.com is the corrected set.

I know cause I just got the set not too long ago myself. :)
