Walkabout and El Norte seem locks for December now. Also, according to Mulvaney emails posted on the Criterion forum, there are no plans to upgrade Great Expectations or Oliver Twist, which is unfortunate.

Although Tony Rayns usually gives superbly detailed and thoughtful commentaries. The more I think about it, I'm probably going to hold off on Chungking Express and Bottle Rocket until I get a Blu-ray player, hopefully for Xmas.

Alongside our DVD and Blu-ray box sets of The Last Emperor, we’ll also be putting out the theatrical version as a stand-alone release in both formats, priced at $39.95.

I don't think this should be news to anyone.

I am unsure why you are I think you misread what I posted. The breakdown refers to the number of SDVD releases vs. the number of BD releases for the foreseeable future, perhaps well into 2009...meaning that you will see a greater number of SDVD releases (with the Eclipse line considered) by Criterion compared to what they plan on producing on BR.
I don't think this should be news to anyone.

Hooray for Bottle Rocket. It's about time. That means The Darjeeling Limited is the only Anderson title not released in Criterion. And considering its poor treatment when it was initially released, I suspect it will get a Criterion release sometime in the future.

You should wait - twice a year (June and November) Deep Discount and DVD Planet have 20% off sales, during which Chungking Express will probably be priced at $22.38 from DVD Planet.
