Happiness- Anamorphic?
 

Is an anamorphic version of Todd Solondz's "Happiness" coming anytime soon? The current DVD is non-anamorphic letterboxed.

Nothing's on the horizon. Both current releases are the same, essentially, in that they're non-anamorphic, correct. And the transfer is pretty wretched.

I'd kill for a better transfer of "Happiness"....I mean, nowhere on the planet? No other region has given this the treatment it deserves? Come on!

Such a brilliant movie. I would love for this one to get a Criterion-type treatment. Hey, they just released The Ice Storm; they should save Happiness as well.

Happiness is a perfect candidate for the Criterion treatment. Shoddy current disc, no plans for a new SE, quirky cult following. Make it happen people.

Todd Solondz seems to not prefer special editions of his films, but a restoration would rule.

One of my all-time favorites. So many great scenes. I watch this every few months. I would also love a quality release of the film.
