The first Mallrats dvd. I may be mistaken, but I think they did away with it for the current Mallrats CE.

It was one of the few features dropped for the 10th anniversary edition.

The only reason I still own the original CE of Mallrats is for the 65-minute featurette with a majority of the deleted scenes (which was also dropped for the 10th anniversary edition).

Yeah, I held on to the previous CE of Mallrats for those two features as well (for some reason, I find the movie even funnier with the commentary).

Yeah, it was great to see everyone together but I was a little disappointed with the commentary. It reminded me a of the Jerry Maguire one - just too many personalities and no organization. I thought Donner was funny, but he didn't seem to remember shooting the movie (him talking about sinking the ship "after" the end was good stuff, though). Samwise left halfway through, and Feldman didn't get a chance to finish a story (or two).

But you're right; there was something cool about seeing them together watching the movie. I also saw a "team" picture of the reunion before the DVD was released, and that was neat as well. I wish they would've just done a well-produced doc for the DVD.

Men in Black does this too. In fact, a lot of Columbia/Tri-Star titles did video commentaries.

Couple more:
Boondocks-Season 1
Glory (SE)
(Grindhouse's) I Drink Your Blood/Cannibal Holocaust-Though the IDYB video commentary is an easter egg. Which reminds me...You know how some commentaries say that they're recorded at somebody's house instead of a studio? This is the first and only time time I can recall seeing a video commentary being taped at someone's house.

Xena: Warrior Princess seasons 3-6, numerous episodes.

but are these deleted scenes in the extended version? I've been wanting to upgrade my DVD-R from when the movie was on Starz , to the 2-disc.

It's so funny to see that Sean Astin is exactly like his character. And they all gang up on him the same way.

I don't think I never noticed the video commentary on Without A Paddle. Any good? I might watch it this weekend.

Really? I thought the commentary was a huge disappointment. There were simply too many people there and Corey Feldman wouldn't shut up. Donner hardly got a word in, and he's great in his commentaries. Plus, someone left in the middle of the movie (Sean Astin?... and he was somewhat intersting.)

****

To expand on the Hellboy video commentary: Hellboy: Director's Cut - disc 3 (theatrical cut) has the commentary from the original theatrical cut release, but with the cast commentary folks in the corner of the screen.

Here's another thread that lists most of the same ones already mentioned in this thread, there may be others not listed here:

I know there is another thread, but I can't find it.
