No problem Cactus. I understood your concern since I thought the same once before, until I had the items in hand and did a bit of research. You just came in a bit heavy. I too joined DVDTalk after seeing this forum by the way.
Thanks for the clarification throwback, and Interesting post. Now those DO look bootlegged! I thought you only went for DVDs. By the way do you have any official WWF VCDs which are similiar to mine? I'm not sure what WWF PPVs I'm missing in the collection. Just thought I'd ask you in case you had any.

Hey everyone, I'm in need of some advice. Today, I went by the local Blockbuster video store and to my surprise, they had all but one of the 2007 WWE PPV exclusive dvd sets.
I casually took the No Mercy dvd up to the counter and asked the sales-person if the dvd was for sale, to which he said no. Then, I went to the back of the store and saw the Royal Rumble, No Way Out, Wrestlemania 23, Backlash, Judgment Day, GAB, Summerslam, and Unforgiven sets with multiple copies.
I was wondering if there is anything I could do to convince the store to let me purchase them as they have them only for rent. Could I rent them and just keep them? If I do that, how much do they charge per dvd?

Summerslam, Unforgiven and No Mercy were only available for rent and not sale, but people just paid the rental plus $25 to keep it. Pretty expensive, but just to complete the 2007 Blockbuster exclusives, it was worth it. I was actually glad they stopped offering the exclusives because they had some pretty crappy exclusive bonus features after GAB.

still can't believe it, but i went into FYE yesterday to see what they had, and I walked out with the Attitude Collection Undertaker: Phenom for $7.41 after tax....I'm still in shock. I haven't seen it for any less than $50 or $60.

Was on the TNA website and noticed on the their 2008 dvd schedule they will package Victory Road, Hard Justice and No Surrender in a 3 disc packaged titled: "Cross the Line".
I hope the 3 pack won't be a TNA shop exclusive or any other store exclusive, then finding out few months later every retailer will carry them.

And I thought paying $30 was good.
I also just got Best of 2001 in the mail (traded No Mercy 2001 for it) and Summerslam 1999 (traded Knocked Up for it). They were both the Koch versions.

I just pre-ordered the "special edition packaging" version of the HIAC DVD (I was scared of the run of 2000 running out).
I'm really hoping it's something good. Besides, if it was a Steelbook, they'd just say when they announced it, as they've done in the past, wouldn't they?
