No problem Cactus. I understood your concern since I thought the same once before, until I had the items in hand and did a bit of research. You just came in a bit heavy. I too joined DVDTalk after seeing this forum by the way.

Thanks for the clarification throwback, and Interesting post. Now those DO look bootlegged! I thought you only went for DVDs. By the way do you have any official WWF VCDs which are similiar to mine? I'm not sure what WWF PPVs I'm missing in the collection. Just thought I'd ask you in case you had any.

With overseas imports you never really know what is legit and what is bootlegged. There is a very fine line there!

Hey everyone, I'm in need of some advice. Today, I went by the local Blockbuster video store and to my surprise, they had all but one of the 2007 WWE PPV exclusive dvd sets.

I casually took the No Mercy dvd up to the counter and asked the sales-person if the dvd was for sale, to which he said no. Then, I went to the back of the store and saw the Royal Rumble, No Way Out, Wrestlemania 23, Backlash, Judgment Day, GAB, Summerslam, and Unforgiven sets with multiple copies.

I was wondering if there is anything I could do to convince the store to let me purchase them as they have them only for rent. Could I rent them and just keep them? If I do that, how much do they charge per dvd?

I saw many people here "rent" them and basically they charge $24.99 to keep. So in the end it costs about $30 to keep the dvds.

Summerslam, Unforgiven and No Mercy were only available for rent and not sale, but people just paid the rental plus $25 to keep it. Pretty expensive, but just to complete the 2007 Blockbuster exclusives, it was worth it. I was actually glad they stopped offering the exclusives because they had some pretty crappy exclusive bonus features after GAB.

still can't believe it, but i went into FYE yesterday to see what they had, and I walked out with the Attitude Collection Undertaker: Phenom for $7.41 after tax....I'm still in shock. I haven't seen it for any less than $50 or $60.

Im not such a big collector, but I picked up a fair few doing some internet shopping

from eBay UK I got...

Wrestlemania XX for £2.99
Wrestlemania 23 (Ltd edition Tin) for £7
The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection for £3.21
McMahon for £2.71

from eBay US I got...

No Mercy 2001 for $10 (Canadian dollars)

and from Amazon UK I got

Survivor Series 2007

I saw Wrestlemania 2000 for only $14 on Amazon US, but they dont accept Solo cards. I've seen it on eBay UK for £9.99

I hope they release this like their first 3-pack and only have it cost about $20. It's interesting that they're doing this for these specific events, and I wonder if they'll make it a regular thing, or if it's being done to get more releases out under the Navarre deal without having to cut into the fairly low number of DVDs they can release with Navarre (which doesn't even allow them to release all of their PPVs on DVD in all national chains). TNA's found a way around the deal somewhat by releasing things as retailer exclusives, thus giving the DVDs sales outside of their own site.

Holy crap. Where was this FYE?

And I thought paying $30 was good.

I also just got Best of 2001 in the mail (traded No Mercy 2001 for it) and Summerslam 1999 (traded Knocked Up for it). They were both the Koch versions.

If you check the property of the image, it shows a link to Amazon.com so it's legit.

I've seen Amazon post fan-made or other region art before though. Looks legit.

Also, does anyone know any good shops in London to pick up old WWF/E dvds?

I see people talking about finding stuff in America, and was wondering if theres any shops like it here.

I just pre-ordered the "special edition packaging" version of the HIAC DVD (I was scared of the run of 2000 running out).

I'm really hoping it's something good. Besides, if it was a Steelbook, they'd just say when they announced it, as they've done in the past, wouldn't they?
