lol, maybe they dont want to waste money bringing it on dvd

Dave88 10-30-08 05:23 PM

I'd probably get it! I've never seen the movie lol

Grandetrouille 10-30-08 05:31 PM

I've recently come upon the Wrestlemania Anthology set signed by Vince #0003 of 1000 (not the one that's on eBay right now)
This will be by far the Holy Grail of my collection and the centerpiece. I was wondering if anyone made a hard protective plastic case that the set can be stored in?

xNightfallx 10-30-08 06:17 PM

I had 2 good scores on eBay recently. Just got the Best of AMW and Ultimate X collection for $20 shipped, and the Kane HIAC set for around $65.

JPeeples 10-30-08 08:50 PM

I love the BFG cover - it was a fine show, but I think I'd rather get the Cross the Line pack since it's got some decent stuff on it, and it's pretty good deal to get 3 PPVs for $20-ish bucks, although I don't think it'll be as good a deal as the first TNA 3-pack with Lockdown '05, Turning Point '04, and Victory Road '04 included.

And I am still wondering why this atrocious piece of cinema has never been released on DVD...

I have it on Laserdisc. Vince owns the rights to the film and I really doubt he wants this out on DVD. The movie bomb all around and since WWE wants to market themselves as entertainment and filmakers, they wouldn't want to revisit this at all.

Good news for those who couldn't get your hands on the FYE Limited Edition Hell in a Cell sets, they're on sale at FYE.com.

Anyone know when the Survivor Series Anthology will be released and any new news on the summerslam anthology be released as separate sets?

Rypro 525 11-01-08 06:28 AM

question. for the tagged classic series, are they going to release wm 16 and 17, as those still had the scratch logo? Also for thier release of wm 5, does it have the "piper's pit" segement and the Hogan trailer?

DerangedHermit 11-01-08 09:10 PM

Has anybody seen the Nov. 9-15th Best Buy ad? Someone on another forum claims there's a store exclusive with the Eddie Guerrero DVD that has it with SEVEN discs all in a tin.

ShadyLPete 11-01-08 09:30 PM

I can believe that. 3 Discs for Viva La Raza, 2 Discs for the previous Guerrero DVD and 2 more discs for the two tribute shows they did for eddie. That's just my guess.

Best Buy's got two listings for the Guerrero dvd on their site. One appears to be the standard set with a $24.99 retail.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....p=1&id=1910975

The second listing is for $39.99 but there aren't any specifics listed.

There is an ad for this in the new WWE 3-D Magazine. The Best Buy Exclusive is a tin with the new set, the Raw Tribute show on a separate disc, Cheating Death, Stealing Life, and No Way Out 2004, which is where Eddie won the WWE Title. I only saw the magazine at the bookstore and did not buy it, so I cannot provide a scan of the ad.

DerangedHermit 11-02-08 12:05 AM

Hmm...I hope there's another way to get the Raw tribute.

I'll scan it when I get the magazine (and if the ad is retained for UK audiences).

I'll pass - Why include the PPV where Eddie won the title when his match
at that PPV is included on both of his individual sets right? (at the very least,
its on the Cheating Death, Stealing Life one.) They should have threw the
Smackdown Tribute show in there instead. Also if your going to include only
one tribute show, why not the Smackdown one instead of the Raw one?
Wasn't Eddie part of Smackdown and not Raw at the time of his passing?

Just the Viva, La Raza two disc DVD for me.

LB...

It's three discs! I'm just getting that regular version as well.

JAROTO 11-02-08 11:17 AM

I will get the one with the RAW tribute. REY vs HBK was GOOD!!!

Yeah, Rey/HBK was good, and if I was going to get the version with the tribute disc that would be why, but thankfully it was already released on the last Mysterio set.

chuckliddell 11-02-08 09:24 PM

I don't think so, as those DVDs got individual 2-disc DVD releases. As far as I;m aware, 'Mania XV is the last Wrestlemania to be included in the Tagged Classics range.

The UK will not be getting an Exclusive Eddie Guerrero tin set, but we will be getting the Smackdown Tribute show which is Exclusive to Silvervision. In terms of content thats better than a tin containing previous DVD releases.

Both Argos and HMV are offering their Exclusive DVDs with all formats including PS2, PS3, PSP, XBOX 360, Wii and DS. Game to my knowledge are the only store stocking the PS3 Exclusive.

The Wrestlemania 5 Tagged Classics is the original Coliseum Home Video release and hasn't been edited. Silvervision plan to release unedited versions of Wrestlemania 2000 and 17 in the near future and these will be released using the DVD backups. The only reason why Wrestlemania XV was released with Hell Yeah is because Wrestlemania 2000 and 17 were both 2 disc sets and this would have meant a 3 disc Wrestlemania XV/2000 release, which goes against the 2 disc "Tagged Classics".

Hey sg2386 sweet pictures on the Exclusive, I am in two minds whether to import that one from the States. I am already going to be spending £125 on the UK Exclusives though so im going to remain cautious seeing as though I want the Eddie Tin for my collection.

jg352599 11-03-08 05:47 PM

where can you get the smackdown tribute for the eddie dvd? About a month ago or so I read that canada will have 2 seperate sets of the eddie dvd set. one with the raw tribute and the one with the smackdown tribute...... Is this true Can someone please set the record straight.

Silversion in the UK are releasing a 4 disc Eddie Guerrero set, which has both the Raw and Smackdown Tribute shows on disc 4. Silvervision is the ONLY place you are going to get both the Raw and Smackdown shows in the same set, but there may be other versions offering them individually.

ThomaMon 11-03-08 06:21 PM

Is Canada Region 1? And is there anywhere to order one online if Canada really does have the Smackdown Tribute show?
