No I dont. It's for my workplace, I'm gonna start working at a music store and we have a magazine and a special section on boxsets etc..

I hope they include the entire match, since not only was that a pretty good match with a clear finish, it was precisely the match that should have been at the show. If it's just the end, I'll be bummed.

I'm pretty sure it'll be the whole match.

They added quite a few used WWF DVDs to Wherehouse/SecondSpin. I just picked up Survivor Series 2000 and Royal Rumble 2002. :)

Dave88 08-27-08 05:58 PM

Royal Rumble 2002 is REALLY RARE but I got it back in '02 myself

No, Homecoming is REALLY RARE. Royal Rumble 2002 is just uncommon.
;)

Dave88 08-27-08 06:56 PM

Homecoming isnt so rare here in Europe as you can purchase it from Silvervision ;)

same here, my first WWE/WWF dvd i bought was Royal Rumble 2002, i started collecting around the summer of 2002 and from there i had to get all the OOP WWF ones from 2000-2001, which were pretty easy to find around 2002 since stores were still selling them, then around 2003 they were all gone from shelves (probably destroyed or sold).

I agree with you on this one as this were the last of its kind in the year 2002 (the final years of WWF dvds) before WWE pulled out shipment, distribution and reproduction and of its like

Virtually destroying all WWF DVDs from the market (US & Canada).

WWE eventually gains more in doing that action rather than lossing a lot of $$$ from WWF (the freakin panda one)

Dave88 08-27-08 10:34 PM

Thanks for agreeing with me Xage.

I remember getting it the day WWF became WWE, I was only 13 lol! And my brother bought WrestleMania X8..

The store where I work now and where I normally get my WWE DVD's from had many WWF DVD's in the store room but they had to send them back to Silver Vision. However I got a few rare gems for £10 a piece.. And they were all sealed!

Anyone from UK/USA who has the EU Tagged Classics who'll like to help me with my article? I really need help and it'll be nice to know what people think, how it's helped you build your collection and which ones you have & the ones you're really looking forward to getting..

Thanks!

Strange you mentioned that. Some retailers in the United States were still selling WWF DVDs as recent as 2005. I was able to pick up Stone Cold What? in June of 2003. Almost 14 months after the name change. In addition, I was able to purchase Unforgiven/No Mercy/Survivor Series/Vengeance 2001 as well as Best of the WWF 2001 and Action! from a small DVD shop in Midtown Manhattan (2-3 blocks from my old high school).

Hmmm. I guess I'm so used to seeing the older WWF titles (like Royal Rumble 2002) on places like Half and Ebay for less than $20, that I don't really consider them to be that rare. There's a few obvious exceptions, but a good portion of them are readily available.

DerangedHermit 08-28-08 08:49 AM

Any of you missing Undertaker: This is My Yard might want to snap it up on Wherehouse/SecondSpin

My other local DVD shop still has a few like
Royal Rumble 2001
Backlash 2001
InVasion
Survivor Series 2000
SummerSlam 2000
Etc

All for £20 a piece.. I havent gotten any as I have them all but hey! :)

BullGooseLoony 08-28-08 05:20 PM

I picked up "TNA: Best of 2007" today at Best Buy. Because of the sale and a $5 reward zone coupon, it only came to five bucks. I've been wanting to pick this up for a while, because I've wanted the KOTM match from Slammiversary and Joe/Angle IV from Hard Justice, but both events were terrible.

No store ever sent WWF DVDs back to Silvervision because in October/November 2002 Silvervision deleted their entire back catalogue of WWF videos and DVDs after the "Get the F out" mega sale. Stores such as HMV, MVC, Woolworths and WH Smiths continued selling WWF DVDs and videos well into 2003 until their stocks had completely run out. I can recall Woolworths selling Wrestlemania X8 and Backlash 2002 off for £4.99 and although a WWE title I picked up a spare Unforgiven 2002 DVD sealed for 99p.

As previously stated I have all the UK Tagged Classics and there isn't one release that stands out because I have them all on WWF home video. I use Tagged Classics merely as a backup and also for a slight improvement on the picture quality. Any article you want me to help with just give me a shout :)

nodeerforamonth 08-29-08 12:08 AM

BullGooseLoony 08-29-08 12:24 AM

SOOOOOO getting the Perfect DVD. I truly hope WWE releases some tagged classics from 2002.

ShadyLPete 08-29-08 06:16 PM

If they do, it'll be from Judgment Day 2002 and on...

DerangedHermit 08-29-08 06:24 PM

Just got a bunch of DVDs from a local Gamestop with the buy 2, get 3 free deal:

- Wrestlemania X-8 (up for sale - for $23 - or trade for my wants in the Wrestling buy.sell/trade thread in the DVD exchange forum)
- Invasion
- GAB 2004
- Summerslam 2006
- New Year's Revolution 2007

lastofthewild1s 08-29-08 10:48 PM

It looks like FYE will be having an exclusive tin on Summerslam continuing the trend. I'll be all over that.

Eriecke23 08-30-08 06:08 PM

Can any of you guys help recommend me some ROH DVDs. They're having a 35% off sale for Labor Day. The ones on my list are:
Driven
Glory By Honor VI Night 1
Glory By Honor VI Night 2
Rising Above
Final Battle 2007
Breakout
Take No Prisoners
Sixth Anniversary Show
Dragon Gate Challenge II
Supercard of Honor III
Tag Wars 2008
Return Engagement
Southern Navigation
A New Level
Respect Is Earned II

The main reason I need help is the only recent ROH show I've seen is Man Up, and I thought that was great.

SkipKassidy 08-30-08 06:51 PM

Based on what I've seen and/or read:

You can't go wrong with their PPV events (Driven, Rising Above, Take No Prisoners, and Respect is Earned II)

Supercard of Honor III got high marks by Aaron Glazer, when he counted down the Top 25 Ring of Honor DVDs. He ranked it #1:

http://pulsewrestling.com/2008/05/30...nor-weekly-14/

dadaluholla 08-30-08 09:14 PM

You can skip Breakout. Aside from the Tyler Black/Danielson match, there really isn't much you'd want to watch again anytime soon. I don't think the GBHs are that great either.
