The Flintstones - The Complete Series on DVD

Saw this on tvshowsondvd.com but, didnt say the price, any news on the price yet?
thanks

Art has been released

as well as pricing information

But one thing to note is that the $129.99 price point is listed as the SRP and not the MSRP. I have a feeling that price of $130 is the price that the store are expected to charge, the MSRP (which is the suggested price set by warner brothers). A similar situation happened a few weeks back when "Heroes season 2" was announced with a $29.99 SRP, but then it was realized that the actual MSRP is $39.99.

But still $129.99 with an infamous 20% discount around the time of release, might be worth it :)

lacubs 07-03-08 03:33 PM

thanks, ya it might be worth, we will see!

hotsexyboi 07-03-08 07:29 PM

129 dollars is well worth it considering each season by themselves is like 20 to 40 dollars so you add all that up and it's saving you a great deal of money to buy this boxset. If I had the money I would snag this baby up!

The Warner store has this available for pre-order at $99.95 with free shipping. And you can use the 30% off coupon code (ANWBTS) if you're buying something else with it (there's a 2-item minimum order to use the coupon). That's likely to be the cheapest pre-order price for this, especially with the coupon.

thanks

I'm all in for this

I *never* use the term "MSRP" at TVShowsOnDVD...after being a retail store manager for over a decade, I pretty much use the terms "Suggested Retail Price" (SRP) and "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price" (MSRP) interchangably. And I long ago got out of the habit of including the 4th letter, because I'm basically lazy. :)

IF you care to get precise about it, the $129.72 price point is indeed the MSRP. I get all my SRPs from the studios, or from retailers who get them from the studios.

I usually refer to the retailers' discounted prices as "the discounted price", or maybe - every blue moon - as the "street price".

Sorry about my confusion. I just figured that $130 for an entire series was really cheap. Thanks for the correction! :)

Do you know what's the difference between the $99.95 one and this Flintstones Complete 1-6 $206.95 as there is a HUGE price difference? TIA :)

I assume the $200 one is just the six currently available season sets shrinkwrapped together.

Thanks for clarifying it!

It could go up or down at any time. You never know. You can pre-order it and let it sit in your pending orders. If you find it cheaper somewhere else, then just cancel it. Don't forget though. Or you will end up with 2 copies.

That's 30% off list price, which is pretty standard for Amazon. I wouldn't expect it to change much at all.

Xytraguptorh 07-11-08 07:03 PM

This looks really great. I bought season one early on, but didn't buy any more hoping we'd get the whole series together. I really love the look of the packaging too. I'm definitely buying this.

As someone alluded to earlier, the 30% off at the Warner Store online (with 2 titles) is a great deal. I did a mock order with Popeye & Friends, Vol. 1 and the total came to around $78 shipped. :)

BKenn01 07-12-08 12:43 PM

anybody know if Warner charges the card upon order or upon shipment?

DVD Polizei 07-12-08 01:01 PM

You guys do notice the discs are in the exceptionally reliable SLEEVED PACKAGING, which tend to scratch discs. And since this is a rather popular cartoon series, you will be pulling them in and out of those sleeves on a regular basis--especially if you have kids.

Nice looking set, though.

Warner doesn't charge for pre-orders until it ships.

That's my problem. No matter how awesome that package looks, I just know the discs are going to be trashed. I think I'm just going to wait for people to start dumping the old sets and buy the couple I need to complete my collection.

shaggy 07-13-08 01:13 AM

I will be getting this for sure. It's my favorite animated series of all time and one of favorite shows period. I just hope it has all the original extras along with the new ones.

AWESOME! I picked up the pre-order along with Beerfest (unrated) for $84.05 shipped. That's a great deal!!
