Ditto.

None of those extras seem interesting in the least, and it doesn't seem like any of them get into the film like the original making-of on the very first dvd already did. I'm happy with my HDdvd of it for now.

Well 'm hoping that the Making of Documentary is a substantial documentary being at least 60-90 minutes long. Hopefully it'll be a multi-part documentary like the 11 part Sixteen Candles documentary that is on the upcoming Universal re-release of that film.
Wouldn't a great doc. be enough to justify a double-dip on this one?

Commentary with the Coens or the cast is only thing that would get me to buy it.

I liked it a lot until a guy on another forum pointed out that the S is a $. That is kinda dumb.

I wanna see the bowling-ball LE packaging.

That cover art is every bit as epic and awesome as the film is (one of my favorite comedies ever). All it needs is a soundchip that plays "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)".

Fuck it dude, I might buy this DVD.

What's so dumb about it? Certainly, cash plays an integral part in the film's plot.

I guess it's kind of like SE7EN...on this board I've rarely seen the title as SEVEN. Have you ever seen the title as The Big Lebow$ki?

I've never owned this, despite really liking it, because when I first saw it around '99, people on the internet would not shut the hell up about it or stop quoting it, and it was getting very obnoxious to me, to the point where I started getting irritated whenever Lebowski was mentioned, whether online or in person. But then I rewatched it a few of years ago and remembered why I enjoyed the movie so much.

Guess I can retire my pan and scan, recorded off of Showtime on VHS (in EP mode, no less) copy after all these years.

Yeah, but it's awfully cliche, and the cover is classy enough that it stands out as cheap.

The line doesn't even go through the S, so it's sort of a compromise. It's still "The Big Lebowski", it's just that the S in the title kinda resembles a dollar sign.

Atleast it's not following the trend (Airplane, Tommy Boy, Bueller, Animal House, etc) of pulling a quote from the movie and making it the cliched "*Insert Memorable Quote Here* Super-Duper Special Edition"

The Big Lebowski: The I'll Suck Your Cock for $1000 Edition
The Big Lebowski: Do You Know What Happens When You Fuck a Stranger in the Ass Edition
The Big Lebowski: They Peed on My Fuckin' Rug Edition
The Big Lebowski: Who the Fuck are the Knutsons Edition
The Big Lebowski: We Cut Off Your Johnson Edition

I like the cover except Walter's arm looks a little out of place.

Disc 1: Main Feature
2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
English and French DD5.1 Surround
Spanish DD2.0 Surround
English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles
Introduction by Mortimer Young
Jeff Bridges' Photographs
"The Dude's Life: Strikes and Gutters...Ups and Downs..." Featurette
"The Dude Abides: The Big Lebowski 10 Years Later" Featurette
Production Notes
Theatrical Trailer

Disc 2: Extra Features
"The Lebowski Fest: An Achiever's Story" Featurette
"Flying Carpets and Bowling Pin Dreams: The Dream Sequences of the Dude" Featurette
"The Making of The Big Lebowski" Featurette
Interactive Map
Jeff Bridges Photo Book
Photo Gallery
Worth noting as per The Digital Bits: These two featurettes were mistakenly combined into one on the earlier posting of the special features. If it sways anyone's opinion, the "Big Lebowski 10 Years Later" featurette sounds like more relevant documentary stuff with the actors and Coens. It certainly makes this SE look a little better to me.

I'm in. I've got the original Polygram DVD (fortunately, I skipped the CE because the extras seemed lackluster). I've gotten enough enjoyment out of that one and enough time has passed for me to pick up the new release.
