HBO's "IN TREATMENT" (All 43 Episodes on 9 Disks)= 9/9/08
SO this has been something I have been anxious to see how they would release this. Never seen an episode but will definitely pick up this set. No mention of "Season 1" on the box so I would guess this is the complete series and it will not be returning for a 2nd season/series.
I really applaud HBO for releasing this all in one volume> I thought they might milk it like Sex and the City or Entourage and release them in 8 and 12 episode volumes. Also $60 for all these episodes is a very reasonable price for once. More info and link to boxart: Title: In Treatment Starring: Gabriel Byrne Released: 9th September 2008 SRP: $59.99 Further Details: Warner Home Video has announced In Treatment which stars Gabriel Byrne and Dianne Wiest. The 9-disc package will be available to own from the 9th September, and should retail at around $59.99. All 43 episodes will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with English Dolby Digital tracks. We have no word on extra material right now, but we've attached the official package artwork below: http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releas...treatment.html |
Seems like a great value! I have a preview disc from Best Buy, might have to check it out before this releases.

what were the reviews of the season?
|
Awesome news. I'd put this show up there with Battlestar Galactica in terms of the quality of the writing and acting.
|
cool, thanx for the info!

Although that was at the beginning of the season. Perhaps even the 5 episodes that Best Buy featured on their sampler disc. |
I actually watched the whole season in 3 days before it was taken off On Demand two weeks ago. Really great, but I don't know if I'd watch it again.
Still it's nice to see HBO release it a fair price. |
Man that's really cheap for HBO. Might pick it up if I hear enough good things

I really enjoyed the show and watched it religiously, but I wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy. It's not for everyone - it's very soapy, melodramatic, and histrionic. The characters are all deeply flawed, to the point where some people will find them unlikable and irritating. You might find yourself addicted to the show, or you might see it as 20 hours of torture.
P.S. IN TREATMENT is pretty much nothing but two people sitting talking to each other for a half hour. If this intrigues you, you will probably like the show. |
Well looks like ts been canceled or postponed for at least a year. Damn ireally wanted to watch this. :
