Yet another Original Outer Limits Release!
 

Good gravy! MGM just announced yet another release of this classic TV series.

From digitalbits: Meanwhile, MGM is releasing The Outer Limits: The Original Series Complete Box Set as a 7-disc set on 7/1 (SRP $79.98).

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the old set seven double sided discs? So this is yet just another repackaging without any supplements? or upgraded transfer? or....

You know, if they were to release a "Outer Limits Revisited" DVD with just supplements, then I would buy it! But this - I don't understand this.. Wouldn't anyone who would have wanted this set already have it by now? What's the incentive to get this release? or the last one, for that matter which was just a repacking of the orginal release way back when?

I don't get it.

I think this is just a wide release of the complete series set that Borders had exclusively and it's just the three volumes combined. I don't think they're adding anything.
