Those who don't own it should really pick up a copy from Criterion's website while they can - it's one of the greatest films ever made, and even if you're not utterly blown away, you can always sell it on Amazon for big bucks in a couple of months.

I see all the Star Trek movies went OOP so I assume a new set with a Blu-Ray release and all the Friday The 13th's weent OOP too, so hopefully they are gonna release Duluxe Editions of the rest soon. Shrek The Halls baffels me though, it's ony been out a few months

I'm assuming that the Star Trek films are going out of print in anticipation of a big promotional push for the new movie that opens in May '09.
All of them will probably be re-released in the very near future. (Bought the big box of all of the movies about a year ago for under forty bucks, so I can't complain too loudly, but I fucking hate that the movies are in those over-sized cases.)

Shrek the Halls
Regarding Shrek The Halls ... It is more than likely that this title is going to be treated as a "seasonal" one. They tend to put a moratorium on them and "re-release" them for the next seasonal push. Whether the versions with the Plush Toys will apply, I don't know.

I hope the next Blu sets of Bond are just the complete franchise, even if that takes awhile.
And I wonder if Universal is at long last considering doing its own special edition of Army of Darkness now that Anchor Bay apparently no longer has the license? (Too bad, I wanted a "Book of the Dead" Edition of AoD.)
