Will it be uncut? My BD version seems adequate. I'm not really into extras enough to buy again.

I bought the SDVD and the Blu-ray...don't think I'll get it again unless the extras are awesome, its uncut, is available on Blu-ray and I can sell my previous Blu-ray. Large list!

I held off buying the original release, largely because there were no commentaries. I will buy this one if the price isn't too steep on Amazon.

Since I just bought the original release in December (albeit for $9), let me be the first to say: f*ck.

I'm more than happy with my R3 uncut version. I can't imagine that there's going to be a crazy leap in image quality or anything.

Sweet. If this is uncut and has a DTS track I'm all over it.

If they double dip the blu-ray I'm going nuclear on Sony, starting with chucking my PS3 at the head of the highest exec I can find.

Why? The current Blu-ray release is pretty damn good as far as the transfer and PCM track are concerned.

I wonder why this isn't being released just before the new movie.

I'm personally hoping this is released on Blu-Ray since I never picked up the original BD release.

Here's what's new to this release (compared to the old SD release. Don't have the BD so maybe some of it was released on that).

The Road to Casino Royale
Crew Commentary
Deleted Scenes
Paying Taxes
Rescue & Recovery
Old Boyfriend?
James Bond in the Bahamas
The Art of the Freerun
Death in Venice
Catching a Plane: From Storyboard to Screen
Filmmaker Profiles
Storyboard Sequence: Freerun Chase
Ian Fleming: The Secret Road to Paradise

... Was there something in my post that suggested to you that I wanted them to double dip the blu-ray?

For me to double dip it would have to include more than just some new extras.

No, you suggested that if they did double dip the Blu-ray, you'd throw your PS3 at someones head. He was simply asking why, since the current Blu-ray looks and sounds pretty damn good.

I got the two disc with the casino royale deck of cards. This'll have to be free for me to double dip. Okay, maybe when it gets to the $5 bin....

I hope they do re-release this on BD.

Here are the Blu-ray's fantastic special features:
Becoming Bond
Bond Girls are Forever (standard def)
Music video (standard def)

If the extras are in HD, I will get this.

Are they kidding? Why do they have to fuck with a set precedent? ALL of the previous Bond reissues have DTS tracks. If ANY Bond film should have one it's this film. I suppose this also won't be the unrated cut of the film. Lame. I'm just going to buy the Australian BR and hold onto it until I get a PS3.

I have 2 questions, if anyone can help me with an answer, I greatly appreciate it. First, this is the first I'd heard about an international unrated version. What's different about it? Second question: are the deleted scenes mentioned in the OP of any real significance? I used to be a DVD buyer who HAD to have the latest version if it came with more extras. But now I find that I really only care about deleted/alternate scenes, and seldom, if ever, watch other extras. So, if they aren't something I just can't live without, I'll stick with my 2-DVD set w/007 poker chip.

From IMDb:

US version is cut in the stairwell fight scene to secure a PG-13 rating. Removed was Obanno's henchmen hitting the ground or Obanno crashing into the glass window. Additionally the struggle at the bottom of the stairwell was shortened.

Not sure what other deleted scenes there are.
