I'm not sure that Drum belongs to Paramount. My R2 copy doesn't have their logo at the beginning of the movie....

DVD Drive-In has the individual covers up. Checked Legend website to see if you can pre-order but they won't be on the site until 4/1.

THE SKULL...I didn't think this one would EVER show up. The only video release that I am aware of was a Paramount "Gateway" budget VHS tape in the EP mode. It looked REALLY bad.

This is one of the last Amicus films still unreleased. YIPPIE!!!!

Mandingo will be a popular title. Not because the film is good but because of the subject matter. It was hard to stomach in 1975, it has to be even harder to take now.

Ooooh Mandingo!

Paramount probably gave it up because they didn't want the heat of releasing it themselves and having to answer a bunch of questions.

It would be nice if they could get a hold of My Bloody Valentine to restore it to uncut status. Or if Paramounts up for licensing some 'smaller' stuff now. I'd love for Anchorbay/Starz to get a hold of that title.

DVD Drive-In has posted a review of THE SKULL.

anamorphic widescreen with an unadvertised trailer. Not bad!

YES!!! A very positive review. Looks like this may be Legend's bid to become a player among independents. Good for them. I will be buying the horror titles for sure...

WHAT!? no CRACK IN THE WORLD!?

>>Who owns or owns the rights to "Sometimes a Great Notion"? Any chance we'll ever see this released on DVD?
-------
Oddly, SAGN has been alternately titled as "Never Give an Inch" at least on TV a dozen years ago for some odd reason

Damn, I just burned a Partners VHS onto disc a month ago! Oh well, if there are no extras, I'll just hang on to that.

Plus, if I recall correctly, there is a brief male nudity in one scene that was meant to be matted out in the film (the beach scene), so the widescreen version would lose that.

Wow! I had given up on Almost an Angel. It wasn't exactly a hit but there was no reason for it to not be released by now. All I'm waiting for now is The Legend of Sleepy Hollow with Jeff Goldblum, although I'd still like to see The Island of Lost Souls (1932) and The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945).

It's probably too much to hope for a John Sayles commentary on Baby, It's You, but it would be a great one. Sayles was unhappy about studio interference with the film and afterward went back to purely independent work where he had more control.

paramount kind of missed out on capatilizing on this comedy when all the Crocodile Dundee movies started to hit dvd, and it's totally their own fault. even if it's not anything like the Croc comedys, it still has Hogan in it so it was a must tie-in for them. even remeber reading people wonder why this isn't getting released by them when the Croc films were released onto DVD. for reasons unknown they did not do it and now they license it off to Legend films. so they had the rights to it all along and did nothing with it. go figure. Amazon has it up for preorder and it still says that the distributor is Paramount. obviously they're mistake.

Z.P.G. review is up. Another winner.

The Legend site still says "check back on April 1st".

Any highlights in the reviews? My work blocks dvd-drivein.
It would be nice if there was a special deal to get all of them for a lower price. I'm interested in just about all of the titles.
