'Homeboy' on DVD?

anyone have any info on this at all?...

it's a 1988 Mickey Roarke film, he both wrote it and starred in it, with Christopher Walken and some other notable names... i remember i liked it but it's been years since i saw it... there is one scathing review on IMDB... but little info...

it's about a sort of down and out boxer, and it's what got mickey into boxing... it's not a film for everyone but here we are converting to Blu Ray and it's never been released...

a good but flawed film with what has been called one of the best soundtracks ever done for a movie by Eric Clapton and Neil young...

any info at all?...

I seem to remember that this movie went straight to video (VHS). I keep looking around for this title. I think LIVE put it out on VHS.

The soundtrack is certainly one of my favorites! I really don't think Neil Young has anything to do with the film or the soundtrack. The score does feature Nathan Lane and Steve Ferrone from Clapton's band. Michael Kamen (who collaborated w/ Clapton on the Lethal Weapon scores) also plays keyboards on a few tracks! The CD features a photo of Clapton posing with Mickey Roarke!
