Pasolini's Arabian Nights

What is the best way for me to obtain this?
I watched Salo again for the first time in ages and I really think I would be into some more of his work based on some articles and whatnot i read tonight. Netflix of course doesnt have it and I would assume the region 1 is OOP.

Arabian Nights, Salo, The Canterbury Tales are all United Artists properties now controlled by MGM. I guess Criterion is releasing Salo in August....maybe they'll have a whole box of Pasolini's United Artists films? I don't see why the didn't go after the whole shebang.

MGM-HD has been showing 'Arabian Nights' in HiDef, how about throwing that on bluray - mmmkay. ?!!?

The trilogy has been released as a set (import only) - which incidently makes it very clear that MGM owns the rights to these films.

has anyone seen the rumoured Image DVD's of 'Canterbury Tales' 'Arabian Nights'? - I own the laserdiscs, but not the DVD's (this is new news to me)

IIRC, at least one of the Water Bearer DVD releases featured the audio of the 70s vintage UA logo while displaying a video generated Water Bearer logo on the screen.

They released several Pasolini movies, including the "Trilogy of Life," via Image Entertaiment.

Are these titles considered bootlegs?

I didn't realize Water Bearer was still around

they sound like boots to me.

I know that Water Bearer did release the trilogy on VHS. Image released them on laserdisc (and supposedly DVD, but I'm surprised I somehow missed that pressing). I just find it odd, that since MGM does own the rights, why 'The Decameron' was the only DVD released (so far).

Does MGM have a policy regarding NC-17 films? Decameron is R rated, Canterbury Tales, Arabian Nights, Salo are all NC-17. Maybe that is the issue?

I really do hope that MGM gave Criterion the rights to the Trilogy of Life as well as Salo. It would make a hell of a box set and could maybe explain why the Salo rerelease has been so delayed.
