What is a holiday themed O-ring?

O-Ring = Slipcover. It's a really stupid term.

(more because I'm bored) Rings are always O-shaped! EXCEPT the one referenced here, a slipcover, whose cross-section is crazy rectangular and nowhere near O-shaped. It's ridiculous on so many levels. :nopanic:

I don't know why, but anytime I hear "O-ring" I always think of an asshole. An actual asshole.

Basically, it's a way to re-sell your movie as a holiday movie (in hopes that it will sell strongly every year during the holidays). An example is "Just Friends":
