Ken Russell's The Devils ------> May 20
Originally rated X, this film combines historical, comedic, and surrealistic elements to tell a tale of politics and witchcraft. In order to take over pre-rennaisance France, Cardinal Richelieu and his power-hungry followers will have to eliminate Father Grandier. Grandier controls the one town that keeps Richelieu from having total control of the region. The plan is to convince the townspeople that Grandier is a warlock and that all of his nuns are possessed by devils. The accusations are heard at a public trial - whose results may surprise you.

this film has existed in so many censored versions, I would assume that Warner Bros. wouldn't skimp on what the fans have been requesting for - the complete UK theatrical version. The BBC documentary 'Hell on Earth' better be included for this release.

It has to be true because I just gave up on this ever being released on dvd and paid $5 for a used fullscreen VHS copy a week ago.

I won't believe it until a press release is made public. Since so far,I can't find any information on this release that is current.
Where did the poster get his information and the case artwork?

Giles is officially gonna flip (just sent you an e-mail, buddy!).
I can confirm this release! This info is directly from the Warner site (including the lowres art).
Looks like a very barebones release, listed with a running time of 111 minutes.
Just thought you'd like to officially celebrate~

C'mon, WB - put this out on Blu-Ray. This is your chance at redemption.

Both long overdue.

regarding The Devils I wonder if (a UK edition is in the works) the import might have more than just the movie like say the docu, which as I understand it, was the only way to see the legendary/infamous 'Rape of Chirst' deleted scene.
