dvd storage bin?
hi guys,
I just want to store all my dvd's under my bed (really dont need/like/want to show them off) so I wanna know if you guys know of any under the bed, (or something that is small enough to roll under a bed) storage case for dvds. I guess i could just buy a bin for under the bed, but was wondering if there is something specifically made for dvds/cds. I absoultely need a cover over all the dvd's for dust purposes (crazy allergies i have). I was just thinking about storing the cases away and putting the dvd's themselves in a binder, but is there really any way to keep them alphabatized in there? Hard to move things around :( Thanks for any suggestions. |
I don't know of anything designed for DVD's but the clear thin bins that you can pickup at Target or Wal-Mart would seem to work well. They have a lid that snaps and are the perfect size for under bed items.

How about something like this: (The one with wheels looks kinda handy)
http://www.organizeit.com/posplittop.php I've seen something similar used for storing rolls of gift wrapping paper at Walmart, Target, etc. |
spawndude, i actually have one of those under my bed. It was what i was going to get if i couldn't find anything better. I really should just be smart and put all the dvd's in a binder, but if my collection grows it might be hard to find title.s

For my DVD storage, most of my titles are in a Linkyo 600 Disc Capacity Aluminum-Like Hard Plastic CD DVD Storage Case. Currently I own two of them.
They are on sale every so often at supermediastore.com To keep track of the titles in the storage cases, I have an EXCEL spreadsheet for each case with four different worksheets. The first three sheets are divided up: "001-200," "201-400," and "401-600" and I have the corresponding number next to the title in the sleeve. Then, the last worksheet lists all 600 Discs in alphabetical order. Example: 13 City of God 14 Mysterious Skin 15 Lawrence of Arabia (Disc 1) 16 Lawrence of Arabia (Disc 2) 17 JFK: Director's Cut (Disc 1) 18 JFK: Director's Cut (Disc 2) 310 11:14 554 28 Days Later 43 40-Year-Old Virgin, The - Unrated 384 About a Boy 449 Abyss, The: Special Edition (Disc 1) 450 Abyss, The: Special Edition (Disc 2) |
