The designers went all out on the spine art there. Also, stark white is exactly what comes to mind when I think of the Indiana Jones trilogy.

I don't know, especially when you know that it's all going to be re-released AGAIN later this year when Skull comes out on dvd. This re-release is a waste of time, when there's a 4 movie set coming out less than a year later.

With regard to The Adventure Collection, I'm tempted. The white background works for me. Whoever designed it may have figured they needed to differentiate it from the 2003 set. If the new supplements are substantial and interesting, that might seal the deal. But they sound more like fluff, and I have a hard time shelling out $35 - $40 for little more than a couple new featurettes.

Ah, what the hell, I'll get the rerelease set. I know a couple of pages ago I was bitching about the missing fourth disc with the 2-hour documentary, but I recently just got that for about $4 used, so I really can't see any reason not to get this new set.

For those who haven't seen the special features: http://geeksofdoom.com/2008/03/03/in...y-dvd-release/
Certainly doesn't warrant an upgrade, imo. Am I the only one who was satisfied with the documentary on the 2003 box set? Commentary would've been overkill (and overlap, likely).
These re-releases seem designed to promote the new video game.

I'm pretty sure these rereleases are designed to promote the new movie. Hell, they even mention the cast of Crystal Skull in some of the bonus features.
Yeah, there's a demo of the new game, but people forget that the Star Wars box set also had a game demo. And if it's anything like Lego Star Wars, the Lego Indy Jones game is going to be a lot of fun.

No thanks, not worth a double-dip. Though I wish "Raiders" was available as a single release first go-round, since I don't care much for the later two films in the series. I would double dip on a single release of "Raiders" *when* there is a commentary included. Don't care about having Spielberg do the commentary since he apparently has psychological problems with doing such things; I would be satisfied with Lucas and/or enthusiastic film historians/critics.

Well I was sitting on the fence trying to decide whether to get the new or old set for me and my son who has never seen any of them. While looking around for the best deals on both I came across a pretty good deal on the older set for $27.19 shipped at Barnes & Noble using a 25% coupon which is good until 4/29. If anyone wants the older set here's a link and the coupon code ....
http://video.barnesandnoble.com/sear...an=97360612547
25% Off - H8A9D3Y
Also note once coupon is applied you lose free shipping because it only applies to orders over $25. Still comes out to only $27.19 though with shipping and tax.
