Does Scent of a Woman R1 DVD carry English subtitles?

I normally look up at Amazon for such info. But today when I checked the details of Scent of a Woman R1 DVD, I was surprised to see them mentioning that the DVD carries only Spanish subtitles. Can someone who has this DVD confirm this? I want to pick this one up online and I badly need English subs on my DVDs.

I also tried to get the details from the R1 DVD cover. But what is given on the cover made it more confusing for me. Can someone please explain what this says about subtitles?

It says that it has English captions. That means if you turn the caption function on your tv, you should be good to go.

Thanks man. Does that mean I will be able to select the subtitle language from DVD menu, just like any other DVD?

Yup, I just double checked to confirm. From the main menu, select the Languages option and it'll allow you to turn the subtitles/captions on.

Subtitles? Well Pacino's character wouldn't be able to read them. Hoo-ahh!!!

Universal uses 'subtitles for deaf/hard of hearing'. But until recently, they always listed them as 'captioned'. Which could confuse some people into thinking that turning on closed captions on tv would access the text. But they're just in standard subtitle stream. So you have to turn them on from dvd menu or remote.
