Nice, Batman Begins on BD. I'll look forward to the official announcement detailing the extensive extras and of course I'm looking forward to the pristine video and spectacular audio.

Probably will include a commentary from Nolan and Bale. If so, I'll get it on Blu-Ray.

I got the version with the comic book, so unless it's an extended version, I'll stick with what I got.

Me too. I love Batman Begins though so if there's anything substantial I'd probably double dip. Although my guess is that there's just some preview for The Dark Knight.

I loved Batman Begins, but Warner's recent track record for producing good SE DVD's has been pretty shitty as of late, especially with zero commentaries.

Unless the extras blow me away and there is a commentary, I'll pass.

I guess they're just cashing in for the forthcoming Dark Night release. If it's a new cut with cool extras then I'm buying it.

Even as a big Batman fan (especially a fan of Batman Begins), this is going to need a commentary from (at least) Nolan. I think one with Nolan and Goyer would be good since I can't see Bale doing one of these, though I hope he does.

If WB wanted to really make this a true "Ultimate Collector's Edition", give us a technical commentary (Nolan, Goyer, etc), Cast (Bale, Neeson, Murphy, Freeman) and comic book legends (Jeph Loeb, Tim Sale, Jim Lee, etc), of course the last one might be more appropriate for TDK...

And since we know they exist, I'd think deleted scenes will be included.

Wow. How come so many people have picked up Batman: Begins lately? With a sequel do out in months, a re-release/tie-in was inevitable.

They took the news from last week's Warner press release:

WB is also re-releasing the Batman Collection Anthology, including in Blu-ray.

I'm a huge Batman fan and I absolutely love Begins, so I'll most likely be getting this. I'm just praying for a commentary. I would kill for a Nolan commentary track.

I just want to see the deleted footage that wasn't in the final release, like the more sinister shots of Scarecrow (seen in an FX reel on the BUF Special Effects website). Anything else is just gravy for me, and I already own the 2-disc.

You just answered your own question. The upcoming sequel has recharged interest in the first one - which is the whole reason they often double-dip come sequel time.

I'll stick the the comic version I got, great film but there's no point in double dipping

I will happily triple-dip even though I already have the HD-DVD version.
