I sure hope it's Detective Comics #27, not 37, because that's the first appearance of Batman.

In a row?

Must be a typo. #37 has nothing to do with anything: http://vintagespandex.blogspot.com/2...ics-37_21.html

Man... I still don't own Batman Begins and I decided to hold out a little longer when I heard about this "Ultimate Collector's Edition" DVD. But a 128MB flash drive? What in the world...

I'm almost tempted to just nab the 2-disc edition for cheap, but I'll wait and get this one for the Dark Knight ticket.

Any word on the possible re-releasing of the '89-'97 Batman films?

You must be way out of the loop.

http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Antholo...179823&sr=1-10

2 disc special editions for all 4 films were released back in October 2005. They are sold separately or in the above box set which I own.

Actually, you are out of the loop because those went out of print and are no longer available, hence the poster's question about a re-release.

NO YOU'RE OUT OF THE LOOP! Oh, wait, no you're not.

I'm planning to get a PS3 in June and may have to double dip on this.

Didn't know they went out of print. Damn that's pretty surprising.

Although they are OOP, Amazon.com sellers have it listed at a fair price for the individual releases.

Hi. Has anyone picked up the Batman Begins gift set or Bestbuy exclusive in Canada got the Dark Knight preview disc?

I haven't opened my Canada Bestbuy one yet, but it wasn't mentioned on the back one was included.. Does the US packaging list it was a feature and does it only come with the Bestbuy exclusive set?
Thanks

On the back of the US packaging it's listed. "An Exclusive 2-Minute Sneak Peek of The Dark Knight."

If you already own the film, there's no need to spend more money for this set (I bought it because I sold my friend the previous deluxe edition set). If you haven't seen the film yet, this is a good deal. The flash drive is just about useless (the pictures are promo shots that were released more than two months ago), the postcards are already available as posters for viewing on the DVD, and the TDK sneak peek is honestly a waste of disc space. The Joker lithograph is quite nice, though.

I already own the 2-disc Batman Begins with the comic book so I kinda figured this was a pointless re-release. I actually saw this at Best Buy the other and stared really hard at it, but I just couldn't justify spending $27.99 to have the exact same movie again with postcards and all that other crap I don't need. The movie coupon is nice, but it's only good if you don't already own the set.

Well, I don't own the 2-disc set, and I held out to pick this up when I heard about it. It's not a bad set if you don't own the 2-disc edition of the movie, but if you do, then you will be buying it again in this boxed set (it is the exact same, upc and all, minus the lenticular slipcover). I had a $10 RZ Certificate, so the price for me fell to $17.99. Add the free movie ticket, and I pretty much picked this one up for about $10.50 (I planned on seeing Dark Knight anyway), which isn't bad considering it came with some pretty cool postcards, lenticulars, and a rather small flashdrive. Most of the photos, if not all of 'em, have been readily available on-line, but I thought it was a nice touch. 4 of them are posters, and the files are fairly large compared to the others (about 9mb or more each, the rest of the pics are 1mb or less). I wish it would have been at least 1gb, 'cos then it would have been more useful. I wish they would have actually had the lenticular front card be the slipcover version, 'cos I think it is the same photo, it just doesn't have the lettering from the slipcover.
