Man On The Train?
i think i'm getting this one...
i read the one review i found in 'reviews' here... it was consistent with what i've seen on the film previously... i'm just looking for some of you guy's input, reviews, etc... any thoughts on this film?... any of you own it and recommend?... Link... to the film if you are not sure which one... |
Very, very strong Leconte. Slow, meticulous, with excellent leads.
Just want to warn you though that the image rather soft but....that is how the picture was shot. Ciao, Pro-B |
Great film, well worth buying. I've watched it several times now.
|
Another enthusiastic . Thoughtful and well-made film that will stay with you long after you've put the DVD back on the shelf.

what i expected to hear...
i'm a bit of a Francophile in cinema... i knew i wanted it, but it never hurts to ask you know?... thank fellas... i'm ordering this one... |
it was better than i expected... and i expected a lot...
everything i love about cinema, why i collect movies, is films like this... i will watch this again many times... what a great work... like Ebert & Roeper did in their review of this film, i give this 'two thumbs way up'... |
I went through a Leconte phase this year. Pro-B and others pointed me in the direction of titles available in other regions. Everything I picked up was well worth watching. Most of his films not available in R1 were less than $15 US on amazon.co.uk. "Man on the Train" on second viewing, is perhaps my favorite of his.
