DVD Profiler Down?
 

Can't access invelos.com for DVD Profiler seems another site has hacked their site including the online collections. Anyone else having a problem?

Why is it that you automatically assume it was hacked? Maybe they just forgot to pay their water bill ..... well, and network storage fees.

I'm getting a Network Solutions "This site coming soon" message.

Who knows, maybe Ken or whoever is running things over there finally bit the bullet ...

Strange. I clicked the link and it went to the page like normal...

Now I did see this on the DVDP forum from Ken:

"No webserver defacing, just a DNS authority change that is supposed to be seamless. Rather not in this case, but it should sort out shortly."

and

"The authority for the DNS changed, in order to correct the issue some users were experiencing resolving static.invelos.com"

When I type in www.invelos.com it doesn't work, but when I type in www.dvdprofiler.com, which I've never used to access the site, it works...Try that

It's not like this is the first Web site in the history of the Internet to experience some downtime.

Hmm...I'm using OpenDNS, and I can't get anything to come up except a placeholder page for Invelos, nor can I get updates through profiler itself. Odd enough, I haven't bought a DVD in like 2-3 weeks, tonight I by one and go to put it in, and it's down. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

Works fine for me. I just downloaded the update 3.1.1 from October.

Not working for me. Just click on the link for My Collection (below) and see what happens for you!

Your collection comes up for me just fine.

Open a CMD prompt and do:
ipconfig /flushdns

down for me too. No website, and no updates. Cant even add to collection.

Yep, now I have that Network Solutions placeholder as well...

damn, I just updated this morning too. Looks to be down for me too.

Things should be back to normal by morning.
