Well, like the Horror challenge, I don't see myself watching a lot, if only because I'm going to be working a lot this season. Oh the irony: working in a movie store, and not getting to watch a lot of the product.

* = First Time Viewing

Wednesday, November 21st:
1. The Honeymooners "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" One of the lesser Honeymooners IMO
2. The Twilight Zone (1985) "Night of the Meek" I wish I would have watched this closer to Christmas; a good holiday episode that reminded me of watching Christmas-themed TV as a kid
3. The Twilight Zone (1985) "The Star" See above
4. The Gilmore Girls "A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving" One of the best episodes of the series
5. Mary Tyler Moore "Christmas and the Hard-Luck Kid II" At a TV station, only Mary and a security guy are working Christmas Eve? Who's broadcasting the signal?

Thursday, November 22nd:
6. Nip/Tuck "Joy Kringle" Racist skin-bleaching, a near-abortion, and a calcified fetus? Ah, yes, it must be a Nip/Tuck Christmas
7. Doctor Who "The Christmas Invasion" Proof that 10 is superior to 9
8. My So-Called Life "So-Called Angels" Hey, it's Juliana Hatfield! Whatever happened to her?
9. Newsradio "Christmas" I don't remember watching this when it originally aired, but the whole ep had me wheezing with uncontrollable laughter
10. Felicity "Thanksgiving" Typical Felicity ep, Keri looks cute
11. ER "ER Confidential" A Thanksgiving ep . Pretty good
12. WKRP in Cincinatti "Turkey's Away" Classic

Friday, November 23rd:
13. Millennium "Midnight of the Century" I love this show; each episode is like a mini-movie
14. Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Pangs"
Buffy found its funny bone in season 4. Loved it.
15. The Pretender "Not Even a Mouse" This show always followed a satisfying formula. Whatever happened to Michael T Weiss?
16. Everwood "A Thanksgiving Tale" Will the rest of this show ever get put on DVD?
17. Gilmore Girls "He's Slippin' 'em Bread, Dig?" I've got no clue where the episode title comes from
18. The Bob Newhart Show "His Busiest Season" An OK episode

Saturday, November 24th:
19. Ghostbusters II Not great, but a fine follow-up

Sunday, November 25th:
20. Elf Some funny scenes, but I doubt this will become part of my annual routine

Monday, November 26th:
21. Home Alone It amazes me how Kevin managed to clean all that shit up before his parents got home. Daniel Stern's reaction at the tarantula never fails to crack me up

Tuesday, November 27th:
22. A Charlie Brown Christmas Vince Guaraldi is an underappreciated genius

Wednsday, November 28th:

23. A Garfield Christmas Cheap animation or no, I loves me some Garfield and Odie. Was Judge Reinhold the inspiration for Jon?
24. Johnny Cash Christmas Show Sort of a sad special, since most of these folks are dead, but Cash is a charismatic performer

Monday, December 3rd:
25. Popular "Fall on Your Knees" The sexual innuendo implied in the title was sorely absent. Still a typically fun Popular ep
26. Roswell "A Roswell Christmas" Katherine Heigl in curls. Thumbs up!

Tuesday, December 4th:
27. X-Files "Christmas Carol" Scully's home for the holidays! Will we see the lighter side of her, trimming the tree and singing Good King Wenceslas? No, silly. She'll perform an autopsy, find a maggot-infested rabbit and sap all the Christmas cheer out of her family. Oh, Scully!
28. X-Files "Emily" What child is this? Why, it's a human-alien hybrid created by evil Big Pharma shapeshifters from Scully's stolen ovum. Hey, this ain't 7th Heaven. Actually, it's a pretty fantastic episode

Wednesday, December 5th:
29. Homicide: Life on the Street "All Through the House" Dead Santa. Bummer

Friday, December 7th:

30. Frosty Returns John Goodman sings! ...with all-too-predictable results. Crappy animation, too
31. Monk "Mr. Monk & The Man Who Shot Santa" Meh. Some funny moments
32. Psych "Gus' Dad May Have Killed an Old Guy" Title says it all. I love this show

Saturday, December 8th:
33. Larry the Cable Guy's Christmas Spectacular Cameos by Penn Jillette, Flava Flav and Carrot Top. Despite those long odds, pretty funny
34. Rudolph's Shiny New Year (1976) Rudolph time-travels with a camel, a whale, a singing Neanderthal and Ben Franklin. Gotta love the 70's
35. The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974) Humanity has lost its faith in Santa, which sends him into an existential crisis. His elf-children are sent on a journey to make people believe again. Demi-gods are summoned and the duality of Nature is examined. Faithless humanity once again demands its miracles. Deep stuff
36. Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (1970) ...in which we learn the history of Saint Nick. Apparently he was educated by seals and given an omnipotent snowball. Mrs. Claus goes on an acid trip. And, yes, there is magic corn. Frankly, I question this story's authenticity
37. The Polar Express This movie had the potential to be a classic, but it shoots itself in the foot. A stern, decidedly un-jolly Santa? Elves that look like lifers from a 1950s Alcatraz movie? Steven Tyler on a unicycle? Steven Tyler on a freakin unicycle?! The last half hour should have been left on the cutting room floor

Thursday, December 13th:
38. Without a Trace "Claus and Effect" Hey, let's throw A Beautiful Mind, Rounders and Wall Street in a blender with a Christmas motif and see what happens! Then again, maybe that's not such a hot idea. Samantha Spade looks like she's been hitting the egg nog a little too hard

Saturday, December 15th:

39. Surviving Christmas
40. Snowglobe Introduced me to this heavenly creature. So, no complaints.

Sunday, December 16th:
41. How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966) Some of Western civilization's finest poetry
42. Ed, Edd & Eddy's Jingle Jangle This thing exhausted me. The voice artists must take amphetemines before taping
43. Mandy and Billy Save Christmas Mandy the Vampire Slayer vs. one Bad Mama Claus

Thursday, December 20th:
44. Veronica Mars "An Echoll's Family Christmas" There's a poker game and some asshole with an Ace-Two goes all in. And wins. That kind of shit should not be encouraged. Threw me off the whole rest of the episode.
45. Veronica Mars "One Angry Veronica" Our favorite twenty-four-year-old high school student pulls jury duty. And let the 12 Angry Men knockoff commence! Instead of Henry Fonda we get a blithely arrogant dipstick who freakin knits in the jury room. Downgrade!

Saturday, December 22nd:
46. A Very Brady Christmas And you thought the original series was cheesy? At least we get an upgraded Cindy.

Monday, December 24th:
47. Little House on the Prairie "A Christmas They Never Forgot" Some heartwarming tales, Prairie-style. Break out the hankies and the longjohns
48. The Jeffersons "The Christmas Wedding" Lionel gets married by a white minister, much to George's chagrin. Weezy!
49. The Jeffersons "George Finds a Father" Uncle Buddy and Zeke come to visit. Florence makes wisecracks. And holy crap! George used the N word. Weezy!
50. Sanford and Son "Ebenezer Sanford" The obligatory A Christmas Carol spoof, with some seriously cheap-ass costumes
51. Three's Company "Three's Christmas" Wherin we learn that "Chrissy" is short for Christmas Snow. WTF?
52. M*A*S*H "Death Takes a Holiday" A Winchester episode! Always good

Holiday Challenge List - part two

List broken up due to the forum's software bug with long posts. Here are the links to part one, part two, part three, part four,
part five, part six, part seven, and part eight.

! Happy Thanksgiving ! Thursday, November 22nd, 2007 -
49- Reba - Invasion * - 7/10 - Buzzard was cool.
50- Sister, Sister - Thanksgiving in Hawaii: Part One * - 4/10 - Nice to see Tim Reid again, pretty weak otherwise.
51- Sister, Sister - Thanksgiving in Hawaii: Part Two * - 4/10 - Last time I'll watch this series I do believe.
52- King of the Hill - Happy Hank's Giving * - 7.5/10 - Underrated series.
53- South Park - Helen Keller! The Musical (*?) - 7.5/10 - Sweet.
54- That '70s Show - Thanksgiving * - 4/10 - I pretty much hate this show, but my OCD has me watching multiple episodes of it.
55- That '70s Show - Thank You * - 4/10 - Meh.
56- The Beverly Hillbillies - Turkey Day (*?) - 5/10 - It's been years since I've seen this show.
57 -The Beverly Hillbillies - The Thanksgiving Story * - 5/10 - Quite forgettable.
58- Frasier - A Lilith Thanksgiving (*?) - 8.5/10 - Funny.
59- Happy Days - The First Thanksgiving - 5.5/10 - I enjoyed the first few seasons of Happy Days. This was from season 6.
60- The Waltons - The Thanksgiving Story part 1 - 7/10 - Watched a lot of the Waltons growing up, still a great show.
61- My Friends Tigger and Pooh - Many Thanks for Christopher Robin * - 7/10 - What can I say, I'm a Winnie and gang fan.
n/a- Parts of the Lions/Packers game.
n/a- Parts of the Cowboys/Jets game.
n/a- Parts of the Colts/Falcons game.
61- Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - 8/10 - Been way too long since I've seen this.
62- 74th Annual McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade * - 5/10 - Much more watchable than I feared.
Friday, November 23rd, 2007 -
63- Friends - The One where Ross got High (*?) - 5/10 - "That's a lot of information to absorb in 30 seconds."
64- Friends - The One Where Chandler Doesn't Like Dogs * - 4.5/10 - These stars I'm giving for these Friends episodes? The 1/10 scale starts at 3, because even a blank script gets one star for each of the three actresses just being there. So a 4/10 is really a 1/10.
65- Friends - The One With the Rumor - 4/10 - I did see this one back when it was first broadcast, to see the "big event" of Brad Pitt. He wasn't all that good in this episode.
66- Friends - The One With Rachel's Other Sister * - 3.5/10 - Wow. This show got bad.
67- Friends - The One With the Late Thanksgiving * - 5/10 - A bit more tolerable. I 'm not sure if I'll be watching the Friends Christmas episodes.
68- This is America, Charlie Brown - The Mayflower Voyagers * - 7/10 - I learned stuff!
69- Everybody Loves Raymond - No Thanks * - 7/10 - I only watched 30 or so episodes over the years, but I never liked any of the scenes with the kids in this series.
70- Home Improvement - My Dinner With Wilson (*?) - 6.5/10 - Another guest appearance by James Cromwell. I just saw him in an Alice episode a few days (and 25 years) ago.
71- Home Improvement - The Wood, the Bad, and the Hungry * - 7/10 - Nice little homage to Rankin/Bass-type animation as a dream sequence.
72- King of the Hill - Goodbye Normal Jeans * - 6.5/10 - Bobby goes Bobbi.
73- Moesha - Thanksgiving * - 5/10 - Again, not as bad as I feared.
74- Moesha - All This, and Turkey Too * - 5.5/10 - This scripts are better than the acting in these. Nice to see Robert Guillaume.
75- Will & Grace - Homo for the Holidays - 7/10 - A few of the episodes of the first few seasons are extremely funny, but I stopped watching. I imagine that, as usual, this sitcom nose dived the last few seasons.
76- Full House - The Miracle of Thanksgiving * - 6/10 - I've never watched this show before, but I thought the Olsen Twins were in it. I saw no twins.
Saturday, November 24th, 2007-
77- MST3K Webisode - Thanksgiving Clown * - The bots are back!
78- MST3K Webisode - Turkey Bits - 7/10 - All the little segments from the old Comedy Central MST3K Turkey Day marathons collected together!
78- Linus the Lion Hearted - Thanksgiving * -5/10 - Cool appearance from Sugar Bear. Wish I had some cereal in the pantry.
79- Two-A-Days: Hoover High - Thanksgiving Tradition * - na/10 - I think this is one of reality shows that you have to watch from the beginning. Never having seen it before, I couldn't get into it at all, but kind of unfair to rate it I guess.
80- Beavis and Butthead Do Thanksgiving * - 1997 MTV coverage of the NY parade, featuring Kurt Loder, Beavis, and Butthead.
81- Everybody Hates Chris - Everybody Hates Thanksgiving * - 7/10 - Raj from What's Happening!! is a regular on this series, cool. Nice guest in Wayne Brady as well, although I expected a bit more from him (I love him on Who's Line).
82- Once and Again - Thanksgiving * - 6/10 - I'm moved quite easily, and this tear jerker did it.
83- Scrubs - My Day Off * - 7.5/10 - I discovered this show quite late. I saw bits of one or two episodes the first couple of seasons, but never gave it a fair try. A best friend who, like me, is pretty discriminating of TV and only watches 2-3 shows regularly, kept insisting that it was one of the best shows out there. I finally gave in and watched a full episode, and agree. I'm a bit behind now, but as of last year it was one of only 5 shows I DVR.
Sunday, November 25th, 2007-
84- That '70s Show - You Can't Always Get What You Want * - 6/10 - Best of the three episodes I watched, but then, I'm a closet Styx fan.
85- The Bernie Mac Show - Thanksgiving * - 6.5/10 - Another first time viewing of a series.
86- The Bernie Mac Show - Tryptophan-tasy * - 8/10 - Hilarious spoof of that classic Twilight Zone plane episode.
87- 7th Heaven - Thanksgiving * - Never seen this series either. It made me cry, so maybe I won't watch it ever again.
88- King of the Hill - Spin the Choice * - 6/10 - Nice reference to the football game.
89- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Talking Turkey (*?) - 5.5/10 - Admission that I may regret: When this series first began, I liked the theme song so much that I taped it and memorized the lyrics, would sing only to myself, as I have a voice to die from.
90- The King of Queens - Thanks Man * - 7.5/10 - Makes me miss International Talk Like a Pirate Day.
91- The King of Queens - Loaner Car * - 7/10 - Only watched this show on and off, but it always made me laugh.
92- The Waltons - The Thanksgiving Story part 2 * - 7.5/10 - Cried (well, I don't cry, but I well up) for like the fourth time this challenge. John Ritter was in The Waltons?
93- Two and a Half Men - Merry Thanksgiving * - 7/10 - This show is a guilty pleasure.
94- Joey - Joey and the Bachelor Thanksgiving * - 4/10 - Another first series for me, and another last.
95- The Simpsons - Bart vs. Thanksgiving * - 7/10 - I think I like the older Simpsons animation more than the newer.
96- The Simpsons - Bart vs. Thanksgiving - with commentary * - 7/10 (commentary rating) - My first Simpsons commentary.
n/a- A Rymatch Thanksgiving * - 1/10 - A short I found googling. Incredibly bad. Too bad to count.
97- South Park - Starvin' Marvin - 7.5/10 - I was an early SP adopter.
98- South Park - Starvin' Marvin - with commentary - 4.5/10 (commentary rating) - I still watch SP occasionally, and am amazed at how wrong, and good it still is.
99- The Brady Bunch - The Un-Underground Movie - 6.5/10 - This series was a favorite of my family's growing up.
100- Seinfeld - The Mom and Pop Store - 8/10 - Great series from start to finish pretty much, pretty rare in TV history.
Monday, November 26th, 2007-
101- Seinfeld - The Mom and Pop Store - with commentary - 6/10 (commentary rating) - I loved the Woody Woodpecker bits, and the Midnight Cowboy ending.
102- Jay Leno on South Park short - 8.5/10 - The Story of Thanksgiving. I love the nonsense on the blackboard.
103- Ellen - Kiss My Bum * - 6.5/10 - Always good to see a Higgins Boy (whatever happened to Gruber?).
104- South Park - Helen Keller! The Musical - with commentary - 4/10 (commentary rating) - All these commentaries are on the web.
105- Northern Exposure - Thanksgiving - 7/10 - Sadly, I own all the DVDs, considered this my favorite show for a year or three, but this is the first episode I've re-watched on DVD. This episode features a great quote from the classic book by John Bunyan, Pilgrim's Progress; "The more he cast away the more he had." It made me pause and reflect on my OCD collecting/hoarding. Maybe I don't need 2000 DVDs. I'm sure that I could search my TV seasons and find many more Thanksgiving episodes, but I think I'm Thanksgivinged out. I wasn't sure that I'd hit 100 in this whole challenge, let alone just Thanksgiving stuff. I'm officially closing out my Turkey Day viewings and moving on to Christmas items. And I will start with a great segway title.
106- Miracle on 34th Street (1947) * - 9/10 - Yes, I've never seen this movie before. I love Christmas movies, watch many of them every year, own over 100 Christmas DVDs, and yet somehow have never seen this classic. But then, that's part of what I'm using this challenge for, watching my unwatched DVDs.
107- The Spirit of Christmas: Jesus versus Frosty * - 8/10 - Can't believe I've never searched for this original before, I've seen the 1995 version of course.
108- The Spirit of Christmas: Jesus versus Santa - 8.5/10 - Found this when it was sweeping the net right before South Park was introduced. Still makes me laugh my butt off.
109- AMC Hollywood Backstories - Miracle on 34th Street * - 7/10 - AMC series which took in-depth looks at classic movies, ran 55 episodes apparently. Always interesting.
110- Tom and Jerry - The Night Before Christmas (*?) - 6/10 - Pretty good for a T&J cartoon.
111- The 20th Century-Fox Hour - The Miracle on 34th Street * - 4.5/10 - I don't quite understand this. Just a few years after the smashing success of the movie, the studio remakes it as a 1 hour TV episode, using the same script (abbreviated and crammed into 45 minutes) and inferior actors. I mean the script is pretty much exactly the same, the dialogue, the settings, the facial expressions. It's like they wanted the same thing, but sped up and squeezed into the time slot. Doesn't seem to make much sense.
112- Professor Grampy - Christmas Comes But Once a Year * - 5/10 - His only color short, and only lead appearance without Betty Boop.
113- A Cosmic Christmas * - 5/10 - Bizarre.
114- 'Twas the Night Before Christmas - 6/10 - I swear I have this DVD somewhere, but I can't find it, so I'm watching a low res version on youtube.
115- Growing Pains - A Christmas Story * - 5/10 -
116- The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley - The Case of the Christmas Caper * - 1/10 - Ok, I was just curious, had never seen anything Olsen, and it was just sitting there online. I'll go rip off my ears now.

* = first time viewing
Thanksgiving Color
St. Andrew's Day Color
Christmas Color
New Year's Color
Bingo Card/Checklist

I'll keep the checklist only in my current list post to save bandwidth.

Holiday Challenge List - part three

List broken up due to the forum's software bug with long posts. Here are the links to part one, part two, part three, part four,
part five, part six, part seven, and part eight.

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007-
117- What I Did For Love (2006) * - 7/10 - I've always liked James Gammon, great character actor.
118- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1948) (*?) - 6/10 - The first Rudolph on film?
119- Santa's Surprise * - 7/10 - Cute.
120- Ginger Nutt's Christmas Circus * - 5/10 - Was this a precursor to Chip and Dale?
121- The Star of Bethlehem * - 7/10 - Great very early animation.
122- Beavis and Butt-head Do Christmas * - 6.5/10 - I love me some B&B, but Mike Judge really improved w/ King of the Hill.
n/a- A Tribute to Scotland / Happy St Andrews Day * Just a homemade youtube video, so it is not for the count, but I wanted to make sure I honored our Scots. The 30th is the official day, maybe I'll find something official by then.
n/a- St Andrews Day March 2006 - Scottish Independence * Another.
n/a- Scotland - A Tribute * And just one more. I also vow to play my Proclaimers CDs between now and Friday.
123- Prancer * - 7/10 - Sam Elliot is always great, and the little girl's performance is surprisingly moving. Hey, I watched two 2-hour movies in one day!
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007-
124- The Shanty Where Santy Claus Lives * - 5/10 - It's fun to watch these non-politically correct old cartoons.
125- The Christmas Visitor * - 5/10 - Another sort-of adaptation of Night Before Christmas with lots of Little Tin Soldier as well.
126- Silver Spoons - The Best Christmas Ever * - 5/10 - Very predictable. And how'd they get electricity to the cave?
127- The Steadfast Tin Soldier * - 7/10 - This was part of an episode of Mr. Piper. Nice adaptation of the classic Hans Christian Andersen story.
128- Married With Children - It's a Bundyful Life: Part One * - 5/10 - Could have been worse.
129- Married With Children - It's a Bundyful Life: Part Two * - 6/10 - I actually surprised myself by laughing during this episode.
130- The Pup's Christmas * - 5/10 - Was that mommy or daddy?
131- The King of Queens - Santa Claustrophobia * - 6/10 - I think I like Kevin James.
132- Snow Foolin' (*?) - 6/10 - Fun.
133- News Radio - Stupid Holiday Charity Talent Show * - 7/10 - Great appearance by another Kid in the Hall.
134- Gift Wrapped (1952) - 7.5/10 - Why are the cats always the bad guys in cartoons? Tom (vs Jerry), Sylvester (vs Tweety), the ones vs Mighty Mouse. I'm a cat lover, so I usually disliked all those cartoons. But in fighting back by bias, some of the Tweety ones are great. Granny rocks.
135- Miracle on 34th Street (1947) (colorized version) with Maureen O'Hara commentary - 6/10 (commentary rating) - I prefer the black & white version. Natalie Wood was truly excellent in this role.
136- A Christmas Carol (1910) * - 5/10 - From Edison films, available on youtube.
137- A Christmas Accident (1912) * - 5/10 - Another Edison film, also on youtube. A sort of Christmas Carol take.
138- The Night Before Christmas (1905) * - 5/10 - On youtube.
139- Shrek the Halls * - 6.5/10 - Not too bad.
140- Tales From the Darkside - Seasons of Belief * - 7/10 - A story about the Gr.... no, I better not say it.
141- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Deck the Halls * - 5/10 - They lost the theme song in later seasons?! Or was that just a syndication cost-cutting thing?
142- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Christmas Show * - 5/10 - Nothing really new.
143- Home Improvement - Home for the Holidays * - 5/10 - I think I quit watching this show around season 4.
144- 75th Christmas in Rockefeller Center * - 6/10 - The link is to the 2006 show, as IMDB has not put up this years yet. Wow, Brooke Shields is getting quite antique!
Thursday, November 29th, 2007-
145- ER - All About Christmas Eve * - 5.5/10 - Cried again.
146- The Christmas Gift (1986) * - 6.5/10 - John Denver wasn't too bad.
147- Home Alone * - 7.5/10 - Been ages since I've seen this. Never saw any of the sequels I think.
Friday, November 30th, 2007-
148- Casper's First Christmas * - 5/10 - I probably would have loved this if I saw it back in it's day.
149- Batman: The Animated Series - Christmas With the Joker * - 7/10 - First time watching this series, pretty good.
150- Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales * - 5/10 - Not nearly as good as the 60s cartoons.
151- Rocko's Modern Life - Rocko's Modern Christmas * - 3/10 - I kept hearing raves about this a few years ago, seemed very poor to me.
152- This Christmas * - 7.5/10 - Great performances make a standard family dynamics Christmas drama shine.
153- Home Alone 4 * - 1.5/10 - Horrible.
154- The Christmas List * - 7/10 - Maybe I'm just a sucker for these holiday melodramas, but I swear this was a fun, moving film.
155- The Christmas Card * - 8/10 - Loved seeing Ed Asner again.
Saturday, December 1st, 2007-
156- Just Shoot Me! - Jesus, It's Christmas (*?) - 6/10 - I liked the ending.
157- Alice - A Semi-Merry Christmas (*?) - 5/10 - Mel wasn't such a bad guy.
158- A Carol Christmas * - 4.5/10 - Loved the transporter effect with William Shatner! The rest is pretty much a needless remake.
159- A Christmas Story (1972) * - 7/10 - Hanna-Barbara special. Goober and Gumdrop save the day!
160- The Beverly Hillbillies - Home for Christmas * - 5.5/10 - Their first "short cut" across the country.
161- Hangin' with Mr. Cooper - Christmas '95 * - 6/10 - Another first time seeing a series.
162- Perfect Strangers - A Christmas Story * - 5/10 - I can't believe I'm about to watch this. Wow, that wasn't nearly as bad as I feared.
163- Alfred Hitchcock Presents - Back For Christmas * - 6/10 - Nice.
164- Alfred Hitchcock Presents - Santa Claus and the 10th Avenue Kid * - 4/10 - And?
165- The Boondocks - A Huey Freeman Christmas * - 2/10 - Never seen this series before, chuckled a bit the few times I saw the comic strip. 12 minutes in, and wow, this really stinks. Last 12 minutes doubled my score.
166- The Mary Tyler Moore Show - Christmas and the Hard-Luck Kid II - 7.5/10 - This and Bob Newhart were my favorite series back in the 70s.
167- Welcome Back Kotter - Sweathog Christmas Special - 6/10 - I still have the hots for Mrs. Kotter, Marcia Strassman. Highlight episode.
168- Alice - Mel's Christmas Carol (*?) - 7/10 - I had no idea that this series was based on a movie. I'll have to watch Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore someday. Great appearance by Jack Gilford.
169- Barney Miller - Christmas Story - 7/10 - Great series.
170- Welcome Back Kotter - A Winter's Coat Tale (*?) - 6/10 - No Gabe Kaplan?
171- Yogi Bear's All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper * - 6/10 - I'd show this to my future kids.
172- Quads! - Christmas Holidaze * - 1/10 - This was a series?! 15 minutes into this supposed comedy, and I've only laughed once. Crap.
173- Arrested Development - In Gob We Trust - 9.5/10 - This show was near perfection.
174- Picket Fences - Pageantry - 7.5/10 - This needs a complete series set. I think this show covered just about every possible storyline imaginable.
175- The Town That Santa Forgot * - 7/10 - Dick Van Dyke rocks.
176- Joey - Joey and the Plot Twist * - 5/10 - Nice Lucy Lui ocd appearance.

177- Picket Fences - High Tidings - 7/10 - "We didn't expect to see Billy's red-nosed reindeer."
178- A Soapy Christmas * - 5/10 - I'll be honest. I did not watch this to broaden my mind and expose myself to new things. I thought it was a one hour long episode of the old sitcom Soap. But instead, it is a special on a bunch of soap opera stars making a Christmas CD. But I watched it anyway, as I had already started burning it to DVD in a frantic race to clear space on my DVR as it fills up with Christmas movies.
179- 'Tis the Season to be Smurfy * - 4/10 - Why not? If I can watch Bronson Pinchot and the Olsen Twins, I can watch my first Smurfs episode.
180- Hey Arnold! - Arnold's Christmas * - 7/10 - Something must be wrong with me, I almost cried because of a Nickelodeon cartoon.
181- The Fairly Oddparents - Christmas Everyday * - 8/10 - Good stuff!
182- Invader ZIM - The Most Horrible Christmas Ever * - 7/10 - "His jolly boots of doom." I knew that modern animation was still great for adults thanks to The Venture Brothers and a few other things on Adult Swim. But now, thanks to these last two shows, I see that cartoons for kids can still be of high quality.
183- Frosty's Winter Wonderland * - 7/10 - Frosty got married?
184- The Andy Griffith Show - Christmas Story - 8/10 - One of my top ten (probably 5) series of all time.
185- Sanford and Son - Ebenezer Sanford (*?) - 7/10 - Didn't watch much of this series, must have been opposite something we liked better back in the day.
186- Good Times - Sometimes There's No Bottom to the Bottle (*?) - 6.5/10 - Not quite dynamite.
187- America's Funniest Home Videos - Christmas-themed episode - 5/10 - Not as bad as Bob Saget, but this other host is awful. Maybe it was partly the writers. Why do we need a lame host, stupid audience interactions, and fake laughter? Just give us 42 minutes of funny clips.
188- The Jeffersons - The Christmas Wedding - 7.5/10 - I'm in the mood for some egg nog.
189- Three's Company - Three's Christmas * - 5/10 - Was never a big fan.
190- Cheers - Christmas Cheers - 6.5/10 - I loved the earlier seasons more.
191- Rugrats Chanukah * - 6.5/10 -
192- A Boyfriend for Christmas * - 7.5/10 - Yep, I must be a sucker, because I really loved this, despite it's predictability. I'll ask Santa at the mall for a girlfriend.
193- Designing Woman - I'll Be Home For Christmas * - 5/10 - Bad Santa!
194- The Jeffersons - All I Want for Christmas - 7/10 - George's heart grew 4 sizes that day.
195- The Jeffersons - Father Christmas (*?) - 6/10 - Could have done more with the scenes from the past.
196- All in the Family - Edith's Christmas Story - 8.5/10 - Great delivery of the big revelation in the kitchen.
197- Green Acres - An Old-Fashioned Christmas * - 5.5/10 - Never/rarely watched this show as a kid.
198- The Addams Family - Christmas with the Addams Family - 7.5/10 - I rarely watch this show, but always enjoy it when I do. This episode featured just about everyone in the family, which I wish they did more of, as opposed to the usual spotlight on just 4 or so characters.
199- Gunsmoke - P.S. Murray Christmas * - 7/10 -
I believe this was my first time ever watching any episode of Gunsmoke.
200- All in the Family - Christmas Day at the Bunkers - 7/10 - This used to be on Sunday nights, right? My parents watched it all the time.
201- All in the Family - The Draft Dodger - 8/10 - They were first to tackle a lot of issues.

Holiday Challenge List - part four

List broken up due to the forum's software bug with long posts. Here are the links to part one, part two, part three, part four,
part five, part six, part seven, and part eight.

Monday, December 3rd 2007-
202- Good Times - Penny's Christmas - 7/10 - Strange watching such a young and innocent Janet Jackson.
203- A Trap For Santa Claus (1909) * - 5/10 - On youtube.
n/a- The Execution of Mary, Queen of Scots (1895) - 5/10 - The first special effect?
204- La Vie et la passion de Jésus Christ (1903) * - 6/10 - I imagine this was the first film of the life of Christ. Pretty solid film making and several interesting techniques are used. And a 45 minute film back in 1903? This may be the first feature film as well.
205- Bataille de boules de neige (1896) * - 5/10 - Early film of a snowball fight.
206- Mystery Science Theater 3000 - Santa Claus Conquers the Martians - 8/10 - I met Joel and his parents at their first season wrap party. Sorry to "name drop", but it's possibly my best story and I just wanted to get it out there.
207- A Christmas Memory * - 7/10 - An enjoyable later Patty Duke film.
Tuesday, December 4th 2007-
208- Happy Tree Friends - Stealing the Spotlight - 8.5/10 - I love these guys.
n/a- Happy Tree Friends - Kringle Bells - 7/10 - A little too short to count.
209- The Polar Express * - 7/10 - I avoided this until now due to my anti-Tom Hanks bias, but it was pretty good.
210- Happy Tree Friends - Out on a Limb - 8/10 - I cringe in every one of these shorts.
211- The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show - Holiday Show * - 7.5/10 - First time ever watching this series, and I was surprised at how funny it was, much better than most modern sitcoms. Bizarre how the advertising was just put right in the show. I'm thinking that the right series could make that work nowadays, and prevent what I imagine most people do, just fast forward thru the commercials. Or does anybody still watch live TV?
212- Captain Gallant of the Foreign Legion - The Boy Who Found Christmas * - ?/10 - Yet another first time viewing of a series. Buster Crabbe's nepotism.
n/a- Happy Tree Friends - Kringle Frosty - 7/10 - Another mini-short.
213- Date with the Angels - The Christmas Show * - 7/10 - A Betty White show from 1957. Nice to see Mel from The Dick Van Dyke Show and Miss Hathaway from The Beverly Hillbillies.
214- Happy Tree Friends - Tongue Twister Trouble - 8/10 - I love those ants.
215- The Jack Benny Show - Christmas Show * - 8/10 - Mel Blanc was a regular in this series! Classic comedy, I'll be seeking out more Jack Benny episodes.
n/a- Happy Tree Friends - Kringle Feast - 5/10 - My least favorite Kringle.
216- Happy Tree Friends - Snow What? That's What! - 7/10 - I couldn't watch these everyday. I'd crack a rib from laughing too much. Reused the icicle gag, but great touch with that final snowball.
217- Meet Corliss Archer - The Christmas Story * - 6.5/10 - Corliss was a girl's name?
Wednesday, December 5th 2007-
218- The Doddlebops Holiday Show * - 1/10 - Started, fell asleep (thankfully). Will finish next time I'm home. Ugh. If I ever have kids, I promise to never drag them to dreck like this.
219- Higglytown Heroes - 'Tis the Season to be Ducky * - 5/10 - Meh.
220- Highway to Heaven - Another Song for Christmas * - 7/10 - A nice Christmas Carol take.
221- Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends - A Lost Claus * - 7.5/10 - At first, I thought I'd hate it, but this turned out to be a good little kid's show.
222- Johnny and the Sprites - A Very Spritely Christmas * - 6/10 - An ok kid's show.
223- Little Einsteins - The Christmas Wish * - 6/10 - I guess this is a pretty good show for really young kids. Educational sort of.
224- Santa's Funniest Moments * - 1/10 - Imagine the worst epsiode of America's Funniest Home Videos possible, but with two horrible actors instead of just Bob Saget, painfully long reporter segments/gags, and with videos that even AFHV would reject as unfunny.
225- The Story of the First Christmas Snow * - 7/10 - A Rankin/Bass production that I had never seen before, pretty good.
Thursday, December 6th, 2007-
226- A Town Without Christmas * - 8/10 - Always good to see Peter Falk.
227- Tyler Perry's House of Payne - The Wench that Saved Christmas * - 5/10 - Forgettable.
Friday, December 7th, 2007-
228- Amen - Your Christmas Show of Shows * - 6.5/10 - Yet another first time series viewing.
229- The Owl - The Christmas Present * - 7/10 - It looks like there is a whole series of these shorts.
230- The Christmas Box * - 7/10 - It was very nice to see Maureen O'Hara again, and John Boy too.
Saturday, December 8th, 2007-
231- Racket Squad - The Christmas Caper * - 7/10 - Cried.
232- The Adventures of Robin Hood - The Christmas Goose * - 6/10 - I'd be willing to watch more of this old series.
233- Where's Raymond? - Christmas * - 6/10 - Great tap routine, but blackface?
Sunday, December 9th 2007-
234- Jingle All the Way * - 6/10 - Great cast, slightly tired story. Hated the sci-fi ending act.
n/a- Casper's First Christmas - Watched this again as I recorded it to DVD (first viewing was online). Isn't kind of strange at the end, when the animals celebrate Santa making them a hunting lodge?
235- Meet the Santas * - 6/10 - Twenty minutes in, and I can't believe that people willingly participated in this. Finished it and it became bearable. But maybe the terrible dialogue just numbed me into submission. Edit to add: Doh! After seeing the two films of this series in the proper order, I have raised my score to 6, and apologize for my earlier remarks.
236- Amen - The Twelve Songs of Christmas * - 6/10 - Just ok.
237- Futurama - Xmas Story - 7/10 - Looking forward to watching the new movie.
238- Holidaze - The Christmas That Almost Didn't Happen * - 4/10 - A sad attempt to make a modern Rankin/Bass type Christmas special.
239- M*A*S*H* - Dear Sis - 7.5/10 - William Christopher episodes were often my favorites.
240- M*A*S*H* - Death Takes a Holiday - 7.5/10 - What a great series. How many stayed at a good to great quality for so long?
241- The Jetsons Christmas Carol * - ?/10 -
242- Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus * - 7/10 - Just figured out that I should have watched this before Meet the Santas. I hate it when I watch things out of order, I refuse to do so actually, this was an accident. Who knew that anyone would greenlight a Steve Guttenberg movie sequel? Finished watching this and I must issue an apology. Either to humanity for turning into someone who like SG movies, or to the cast and crew of these two films. I was surprised to find myself really enjoying this, and if I had seen this one first I would not have razzed the sequel so much.
n/a- Yogi Bear's All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper - Watched this again to record it. I used to be able to do an ok Yogi voice imitation.
Monday, December 10th 2007-
243- Little House: Bless All the Dear Children (*?) - 7/10 - What a bizarre title. What about the undear children? This was one of the TV movies made after Little House on the Prairie ceased production. Predictable, but it was still fun to reacquaint myself with these characters.
244- Barney Bear's Polar Pest * - 6.5/10 - I don't remember this character, but I keep seeing his shorts on Boomerang.
245- Seasin's Greetinks! * - 6.5/10 - I was never much of a Popeye fan, although I do like spinach now.
246- A Garfield Christmas Special * - 2.5/10 - Darn The Monkees for insisting on Garfield being in the checklist! I had already seen the better Thanksgiving special, and didn't need to see this one, but I had already opened the DVD and figured I might as well.
247- Friends - The One With the Monkey - 8/10 - "Hey, that monkey has a Ross on his ass."
248- Friends - The One With Phoebe's Dad - 7/10 - I forget, did she ever meet him?
249- Friends - The One Where Rachel Quits - 7.5/10 - "Dad loves the slots."
250- Friends - The One With the Girl From Poughkeepsie * - 5/10 - Friends should have quit when they were ahead.
251- Friends - The One With the Inappropriate Sister * - 4/10 - Flameball or whatever it was could be fun. I've invented office games before. One bad weather day we actually came up with Office Olympics, complete with medals.
252- Matlock - Santa Claus * - 7/10 - I love me some Andy Griffith.
Tuesday, December 11th 2007-
253- Friends - The One With All the Resolutions * - ?/10 - I didn't want to start watching New Years stuff until after Christmas, but since I had these borrowed Friends sets, I decided to just run thru them in order and get them out of my life forever.
254- Robot Chicken - Christmas Special - 8/10 - I only watch this show in small doses. I'm afraid it would wear out it's welcome if I watched more than an episode or two at a time.
255- Holiday in Handcuffs * - 4/10 - Had a few interesting ideas, but pretty crappy acting.
Wednesday, December 12th 2007-
256- Holiday Affair (1996) * - 6/10 - Good script, execution could have been better.
257- Friends - The One Where Ross Got High with commentary * - 4/10 (commentary rating) - I'll make all my commentary comments in a few entries.
258- Friends - The One With the Routine * - 3.5/10 - Elle Macpherson?
259- Friends - The One With All the Candy * - 4.5/10 - Would neighbors actually take candy off the door of a neighbor? It would have to be a flashing neon sign for me to even notice probably, and even then, I doubt I'd take any.
260- Friends - The One With the Holiday Armadillo * - 6/10 - Two points for the great costume.
261- Friends - The One With the Holiday Armadillo with commentary * - 4/10 commentary rating - So I went ahead and listened to two different commentaries on these Friends sets. I figured that while I had the sets, I might as well watch a few, since I will never borrow these sets again. Two was all I could take, I skipped several commentaries that would have counted. There were a few interesting tidbits of info, but mainly I just learned how full of himself David Crane is. He kept talking about how great the episodes were and how it was their finest work of the season. This over mediocre episodes at best.
262- Friends - The One With Ross's Step Forward * - 4.5/10 - It is difficult to come up with anything to say on these quite mediocre episodes.
263- Friends - The One With Christmas in Tulsa * - 4/10 - And extra point for Selma Blair. A pretty weak flashback episode.
n/a- Friends - The One With Rachel's Going Away Party * - 4/10 - I never saw the series finale, so I decided to watch the last few episodes while I had the sets.
n/a- Friends - The Last One: Part 1 * - 5/10 - I guess it is obvious that I'm not much of a Friends fan. I actually really enjoyed it the first few seasons, but feel it became quite bad after that point. It was still nice to see how they wrapped things up.
n/a- Friends - The Last One: Part 2 * - 4/10 - An extra point for finally being done with Friends. Now onto one of my favorite holiday titles.

Monday, December 10th, 2007 -
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 - Major Ice Storm today, so I was home by 2:30. After helping move half of a tree from the neighbor's driveway, I got a little extra TV time today
62. Wintertime Treats Unwrapped [Food Network] *<dd>A Marc Summers sighting! Did I travel back in time to 1990 and tune into an episode of Double Dare on Nickelodeon? No? Well, then... Good for you, Marc Summers! Keeping busy, I see (Bob Sagat is envious). This was actually fairly interesting. It had to do with going behind the scenes on making many classic holiday treats (candy canes, fruit cake, kettle corn, rock candy, etc...) Interesting fact #1 - Those crazy mail order catalogs for food at Christmas have like 50k-100k calls PER DAY. Holy schnikies! The other tidbit was that I had NO idea that a Yule Log was also a tasty Christmas treat. It was like a Little Debbie Swiss Cake Roll on steroids. I was never a big candy guy, so I wasn't surprised at my lack of information on holiday treats. I'm a sucker for all those "how do they make that" type shows. The one where they showed (somewhat) how they made money was probably the best.</dd>
63. Journeyman - "Home by Another Way"*<dd>Another absolutely amazing episode. I am absolutely glued to the TV set every time this show is on. The only show that comes close is maybe the end of the first season of LOST and the beginning of the second season of LOST. PLEASE RENEW IT NEXT YEAR!!! I would be heartbroken if they didn't pick it up again.</dd>
64. Alfred Hitchcock Presents - "Santa Claus and the 10th Avenue Kid"*<dd>Hmmm... This one didn't really feel very Hitchcock-esque. No real twist or anything. I haven't watched Alfred Hitchcock Presents in a while, but not a whole lot of substance here. An early episode. Let's watch the next one...</dd>
65. Alfred Hitchcock Presents - "Back For Christmas"*<dd>Ok. Much much better this time around. This episode had me on the edge of my seat for most of the episode. I kind of knew what was coming, but I didn't know when it was coming and when the twist would show up. Excellent episode. Weird that the opening had nothing to do with the episode. I VAGUELY remember them not doing specific openings/closings related to the show, I'll have to watch more episodes.</dd>
Wednesday December 12th, 2007 -
66. Bobby Flay Throwdown [Food Network] - "Gingerbread"*<dd>This is a show where Bobby Flay finds people who are the best in their craft, and challenges them to a challenge where he tries to compete against them. I'm not a huge Bobby Flay fan. When he was on Iron Chef (not America), he acted like a complete jackass. Anyhoo, this was pretty good. The person who he "threw down" against thought she was doing a special for The Food Network about gingerbread designs, so she didn't know it was going to be a challenge. She was genuinely shocked when Bobby Flay walked in the door... and she knew what was coming. He went up against a leading gingerbread house maker. He built the Empire State Building, she build an Abraham Lincoln house. Needless to say, her house DESTROYED Flays. Although I will give Flay credit that he did pretty damned good for his first gingerbread house. I'm sure having 5 assistants helped too.</dd>
67. The Twilight Zone (1959) - "Night of the Meek"*<dd>I'm not quite sure what kind of camera they were using, but it was like it had that "live"/home video feel that was very odd. Kind of like a sketch comedy show or something. There was a cat in the show a couple of times, and the sound of the cat meowing was hilarious. It was like some random guy meowing, but not even trying to sound like a cat.</dd>
68. The Twilight Zone (1959) - "The Changing of the Guard"*<dd>Donald Pleasence is great in this episode! This had a normal look to the show, unlike "Night of the Meek".</dd>
Thursday December 13th, 2007 -
69. The Twilight Zone (1985) - "Night of the Meek"*<dd>Richard Mulligan and William Atherton do a great job in the remake of this episode. Definitely a new feel to it, but pretty much the same story.</dd>
70. 30 Rock - Ludachristmas"*<dd>Oh man, another GREAT 30 Rock. This show has almost surpassed The Office as my favorite comedy on right now. If Alec Baldwin doesn't get an Emmy next year, it will be a travesty.</dd>
71. The Office (US) - "A Benihana Christmas"<dd>A little weird to see Pam and Jim not together. I've been waiting for this damn show to come out on HD, so I haven't re-watched any of the episodes even though I want to real bad.</dd>
Friday December 14th, 2007 -
72. Saturday Night Live Christmas 2002<dd>Surprisingly, there were a couple skits I had never seen. I was shocked. Listening to Adam Sandler's Hanukkah the first time he did it on the air was interesting. It's a little different than his usually played live version. The Schwety Balls skit is one of my favorites of all time (the first one).</dd>
73. Food Network Challenge - "Gingerbread Championships"*<dd>Wow. These gingerbread houses are absolutely unbelievable. I was actually getting nervous because pieces were breaking off peoples houses and waiting to find out who won.</dd>
Saturday December 15th, 2007 -
74. Christmas Confidential [We]*<dd>This is the very first thing I have ever watched on the "We" network, and it was surprisingly good. It was a smorgasboard of random Christmas things. They had some history on Santa Claus, the worlds biggest Christmas mall (oh my god those people are ridiculous), one of the worlds master animatronic makers in Brooklyn, who does a lot of the window stuff in the high end stores in New York, some INSANE christmas house decoration guy in New York, a debate on artifical vs. real Christmas trees, and more. I definitely learned a few things here. An interesting segment was about Christmas movies (right up the alley for this challenge!). The top three Christmas movies (according to the woman they were interviewing) were: 1. A Christmas Carol/Scrooge (1951), 2. It's a Wonderful Life, and 3. Miracle on 34th Street. She also mentioned The Ref and Bad Santa as two new-style (for lack of a better word) Christmas movies. No mention of (IMO) the #1 Christmas movie of all time - Christmas Vacation.</dd>
75. Holiday With the Stars [E!]*<dd>Hmm... This is basically a glorified 30 minute ad for movies, shows, and products with an outer shell of celebrity Holiday plans. I figured it would be interviews with celebrities, traditions, etc... It was like an Access Hollywood show.</dd>
76. Camp Lazlo - "Kamp Kringle"*<dd>Never seen this show before. It was the same animation style of Ren & Stimpy, for which I probably have only watched a few episodes. This was *ok*. It had to do with Santa needing a vacation.</dd>
77. He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas Special*<dd>Oh Boy! As a little background, He-Man was right in my wheelhouse for cartoon viewing when I was a kid. I had all of the toys, Castle Grayskull, etc... I even remember that they had cards of He-Man characters inside a box of Honeycomb cereal when I was a kid. I remember I got one box, and I got She-Ra. I was absolutely crushed. I didn't want a stupid girl card, I wanted He-Man or Man-at-Arms or someone cool. Anyhoo, I have not watched the cartoon since the 80's. What a blast from the past! There were a few parts that made me laugh out loud because it was sooo 80's goodie-two-shoes-esque. The song that the kids sang was an absolute riot. I do have the season DVDs, but I haven't watched them, so there were some machine things (machinenites?) that I do NOT remember at all. I missed a little continuity there. They most certainly don't make them like this anymore. Final thoughts... She-Ra is HOT! (ha!)</dd>
78. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer*<dd>This was based(?) on that horrible song. Nothing special here. I did like the Fargo-eque police officers. That had to be a direct parody of the movie.</dd>
79. Monk - "Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa"*<dd>I have never watched this show before. I got a little frustrated at the beginning because everyone was way over reactive to Monk, but (as always) it turned out at the end. Two surprising cast members: Traylor Howard. I always liked her on the previous shows she was on. And the surprise of the day: Ted Levine! It's hard to think of him as anything but Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. The moustache helped. I remember listening to the commentary for Silence of the Lambs and everyone raving about him as an actor, but it was so hard for him to get parts after Lambs because of his voice and his character would be hard for anyone to forget.</dd>
N/A. COPS - "HO! HO! Ho! Special Edition No. 4"<dd>Well, this episode had absolutely nothing to do with Christmas/Holidays, although it was funny to see a guy not realize he was trying to hook up with a transvestite.</dd>
N/A. George Lopez - "A Clear and Presentless Danger"<dd>Damn it! Either my DVR guide was wrong or Nick at Nite aired the wrong episode. I watched the whole thing before I realized it had nothing to do with Christmas. I see they are supposed to be on again later in the week.</dd>
Sunday December 16th, 2007 -
80. Mad TV - "Holiday Show '06"*<dd>I haven't watched this show in years. It was pretty damned funny, I must say. There was a skit with Bobby Lee that was the Thailand Movie Review Show. It was hilarious. Another skit was a Maury Povich and Connie Chung Christmas. On the special, they had "the pig from Charlotte's Web". When the pig came in, about halfway through the skit, it took a huge dump and piss on the set. The cast couldn't even continue with the sketch, it was hilarious. Later in the show, they showed the rest of the sketch. They must have re-grouped and filmed the rest of the sketch. I'm wondering if they originally aired the pig dumping or if that was just for this special.</dd>
81. Tom & Jerry - "A Nutcracker Tale"*<dd>The whole special was to the tune of "The Nutcracker" (hence the title). It was ok. I remember watching Tom and Jerry when I was a kid, I don't remember it quite like that, but this WAS a special.</dd>
82. Nigella's Christmas Kitchen [Food Network] - "Holiday Party"*<dd>I HAD to record this because I have actually eaten food that Nigella Lawson has cooked! I went to Late Night with Conan O'Brien a year ago and Nigella Lawson was the last guest of the night. She cooked some food up. After the show, we went on the set (I knew someone who works for Conan) and we sat around for a couple minutes eating the food that was left over from her appearance. That was only the tip of the iceberg for that trip... Best vacation... EVER!</dd>
83. Ed, Edd 'n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle*<dd>I have never seen this show. Horrible. Absolutely Horrible. Anothe Ren & Stimpy animation scheme. One of the "Ed" characters was terrible.</dd>
84. Grim & Evil - "Billy & Mandy Save Christmas"*<dd>I have never seen this show. Not bad. Another Ren & Stimpy type animation. They brought out the big guns for voices on this one: Malcom McDowell, Carol Kane, and Gibert Gottfried (who I can't stand, but he doesn't talk very much in this episode). There was even Armin Shimerman (Quark on DS9!). I LOVE the Grim Reaper character in this show. Some good, intelligent humor in this show. May watch again.</dd>
85. Class of 3000 Christmas*<dd>What does Class of 3000 mean? I found out today the 3000 is because Andre 3000 from Outkast is one of the voices on this show. Nothing special here. I absolutely can not stand that some of the backgrounds do NOT move with the animation. It's kind of hard to explain, but it's like they put a background layer for clothes on the characters that are not animated, and it is flat with a transparent foreground, so it has a really terrible look when people walk and their clothes don't move. Grrr....</dd>
Monday December 17th, 2007 -
86. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends - "A Lost Cause"*<dd>I have never seen this show. Once again, I have no idea what the premise of this show is, so it's a little weird. The blue guy is the best part of the show.</dd>
87. Jackie Chan Adventures - "A Jolly J-Team X-Mas"*<dd>Wait a second... When in the heck did Jackie Chan have his own cartoon? Weird. Really weird. Obviously I have never seen this show before. This really wasn't that bad, though. I loved that the elves were like security guards. I am not a big Jackie Chan fan. I don't mind watching some of his movies, but when he is on talk shows, etc..., he is SOOOO annoying, ugggh.... It's so painful to watch him not in movies, he's so fake it's painful to watch.</dd>
88. How the Grinch Stole Christmas<dd>Is this strictly from the book? Man, I haven't seen this FOREVER. I was surprised to find out it was only 30 minutes (well, 22 minutes not counting commercials), I remember it being much longer for some reason. It has the classic song "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch". The whole Grinch story never really did much for me, though.</dd>
89. American Dad - "The Most Adequate Christmas Ever"*<dd>By far, the best episode of American Dad so far. Absolutely hilarious. A few times I laughed out loud at the jokes. The "JC" party was hilarious. The heaven gun was brilliant. The whole Stan-God interchange was great. I've been an American Dad fan from the beginning. I think they need to do more shows that have an element of "fantasy" like this episode.</dd>
90. George Lopez - "Christmas Punch"*<dd>George Lopez is a pretty funny guy. A sold episode. I have never seen this episode before.</dd>
91. The Game - "The Ghost of Derwin Past"*<dd>Executive Producer - Kelsey Grammer? Hello? Ok. This show is definitely NOT up my alley. I can't say it was horrible, and I definitely don't know the back story, but it is not a show I would ever normally watch. There seems to be a HUGE casting issue in this show. One of the guys, Malik, his mom is a character in the show, and the actress who plays her looks exactly the same age! C'mon, not beleivable at all. In the first half of the show, I thought those two were dating or used to be dating. I find out it's HIS MOM. Not even remotely realistic.</dd>
Tuesday December 18th, 2007 -
92. Home Improvement - "'Twas the Blight Before Christmas"<dd>Guess what! Tim Taylor vs. Old Doc Johnson! for the best christmas decorations in the neighborhood.</dd>
93. Home Improvement - "I'm Scheming of a White Christmas"<dd>Guess what! Tim Taylor vs. Old Doc Johnson! for the best christmas decorations in the neighborhood.</dd>
94. Alice - "Mel's Christmas Carol"*<dd>A take on The Christmas Carol. I'm pretty sure I've seen Alice before, because I recognized the opening, but I don't remember anything about it. This is about as simple of a premise as you get. I was disappointed, though, no Flo, no "Kiss my Grits!". I don't know how many times she ever did that in the show (was that even this show?)</dd>
N/A. Alice - "'Tis the Season to Be Jealous"<dd>Dammit! It wasn't a Christmas episode and I almost watched the whole thing before realizing it. Damn you Nick at Nite!</dd>
Wednesday December 19th, 2007 -
95. Arrested Development - "Afternoon Delight"<dd>There is no bad episode of Arrested Development. Hilarious as always.</dd>
96. Bah-Humduck! A Looney Tunes Christmas*<dd>I can't get over the voice changes from Mel Blanc and the other original voices. Not really entertaining at all. I need Looney toons in short doses, I guess.</dd>
97. Home Improvement - "Yule Better Watch Out"<dd>Another Tim Taylor vs. "Old Doc Johnson" again.</dd>
98. Frank TV - "Frankincense and Myrrh"*<dd>Hmm... This was not very good. Don't get me wrong, I like Frank Caliendo, and I think he is hilarious, but only in small doses, I guess. The Andy Rooney skit WAS pretty funny.</dd>

Holiday Challenge List - part five

List broken up due to the forum's software bug with long posts. Here are the links to part one, part two, part three, part four,
part five, part six, part seven, and part eight.

Thursday, December 13th 2007-
264- How the Grinch Stole Christmas - 10/10 - Sweet, I just realized that I get to use the best Christmas show ever as my birthday year checklist item! The is the original animated version of course, I still haven't seen the Jim Carrey travesty(?).
265- How the Grinch Stole Christmas with commentary - 7/10 commentary rating - Fun commentary from one of the animators and a voice actress extraordinaire June Foray.
266- An Accidental Christmas * - 6/10 - New Lifetime movie, not on IMDB yet.
267- Santa and the Three Bears * - 5/10 - I went into this thinking that it was a 1950's short, but it turned out to be a 76 minute 1970 special. Hmm, just submitted my first correction to IMDB, as the runtime here is only 45 minutes. It should have been 25 minutes, a very bloated story that moved at a snail's pace.
268- Jack Frost (1979) (*?) - 7/10 - Rankin/Bass did a heck of a lot more work than I remember. I still want to track down a few of their movies.
269- The Little Drummer Boy Book II * - 7/10 - I like their more religious work almost as much as the standards.
270- Nestor, The Long-Eared Christmas Donkey - 7/10 - Good think they added Christmas to the title, or I'm sure that a lot of people would have skipped it.
n/a- Happy Tree Friends - Kringle Karols - 7/10 - I've always had a fear of falling icicles. I love the CPR!
271- Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too (*?) - 6.5/10 - I like the older Pooh stories more.
Friday, December 14th 2007-
272- Happy Tree Friends - Ski Ya Wouldn't Wanna Be Ya - 7/10 - Love the little touches like the satellite and the look of anticipatory fear in his face.
n/a- Happy Tree Friends - Kringle Presents - 8/10 - Perhaps the most disturbing mini-short.
273- The Proud Family - Seven Days of Kwanzaa * - 7/10 - Started off badly, but I liked the recovery.
274- Wayside - Sideways Christmas * - 6/10 - Another take on A Christmas Carol.
275- Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! - O Figgety-Fig Tree; Snow Day * - 5/10 - What am I doing?
276- Happy Tree Friends - A Class Act - 10/10 - This is what got me hooked on HTF.
n/a- Happy Tree Friends - Kringle Tree - 5/10 - Predictable. Nice spit touch though.
277- Higglytown Heroes - Twinkle's Wish * - 6/10 - I wish I had kids to justify watching stuff like this.
n/a- Lake Anne Elementary School presents A Perfect Winter Day * - 10/10 - Had to give props to my niece's Christmas Chorus Show. This youtube video is not the Christmas show, just something random I found with her class. She's the beautiful one in the front row.
278- Kim Possible - A Very Possible Christmas * - 6/10 - Family rocks.
n/a- Go, Diego! Go! - Diego Saves Christmas * - Very little kids programming. I'm not counting because I was multi-tasking while watching and wasn't really paying much attention.
n/a- Oswald - Catrina's First Snow; The Snow Festival * - Very little kids programming. I'm not counting because I was multi-tasking while watching and wasn't really paying much attention.
279- Lazytown - Lazytown's Surprise Santa * - 5/10 - My best friends young kids watch this show. I think shows were better when we were that young.
280- Martin Mystery - Eternal Christmas * - 7/10 - Seems like a pretty cool show, sort of American anime ?
281- The Emperor's New School - A Giftmas Story * - 6.5/10 - Predictable, but not too bad.
282- Squidbillies - Rebel With a Claus * - 8.5/10 - I had watched this show once previously, and hated it. This episode had me laughing out loud. But maybe I was just tired of the last few hours of kids programming and needed something quite adult.
283- 30 Rock - Ludachristmas * - 8/10 - Great sitcom.
284- Alice - Mel, the Magi - 7.5/10 - One of my favorite Alice episodes.
285- Amen - The Deacon's Donkey * - 6/10 - I didn't realize that Amen lasted five seasons.
286- Girlfriends - Deck the Halls With Bags and Folly * - 5/10 - Wow, that one GF has huge eyes. First time seeing this series, not really impressed.
287- The Game - The Ghost of Derwin Past * - 5.5/10 - Again, not impressed.
Saturday, December 15th 2007-
288- Seinfeld - The Pick - 8/10 - I guess they couldn't title it The Nipple?
289- Still Standing - Still Thankful * - 3.5/10 - Doesn't seem like a sitcom that I'll watch outside of this challenge. Wasn't planning on watching anymore Thanksgiving episodes, but saw this while scanning for Christmas stuff.
290- Amen - Thelma Frye'd, Dough Girl * - 6/10 - Nice title, and scene of same.
n/a? - Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007) * - 7/10 - Great movie to see in a crowd of kids. Their laughter made me laugh as well, and partially overlook the weak dialogue and largely wasted David Cross.
291- Scarecrow and Mrs. King - The Long Christmas Eve * - 6/10 - Weird coincidence: In this adventure Amanda's cover is someone who lived in Silver Spring Maryland until she was three. I did the exact same thing. Do you think that is enough in common to write Kate Jackson a love letter?
292- A Flintstone Christmas * - 5/10 - This is one of at least 4 different Flinstones Christmas shows, but one where the kids are grown up and can talk, which are not nearly as good as the earlier Flintstones. A 1977 TV special.
293- Celebrating Christmas: Christmas Out of the Box * - 7.5/10 - Fairly interesting documentary about the some of the origins of the holiday.
294- Bewitched - A Vision of Sugar Plums - 8/10 - A Bill Mumy guest role!
295- NewsRadio - Xmas Story - 9/10 - A Higgins Boy appearance! I miss Phil Hartman.
Sunday, December 16th 2007-
296- Christmas Comes to Pacland * - 1.5/10 - How incredibly awful.
297- Eight is Enough - Yes Nicholas, There is a Santa Claus: Part 1 (*?) - 7/10 - Grandpa Walton was the first Bad Santa.
298- The Flintstones - Christmas Flintstone * - 6/10 - Better. This was a season 5 episode. This is free on Amazon unbox if anyone wants to download it there.
299- Eight is Enough - Yes Nicholas, There is a Santa Claus: Part 2 (*?) - 7.5/10 - Darn show welled me up twice.
300- Camp Lazlo - Kamp Kringle * - 6/10 - Fairly enjoyable NickToons show.
301- Charlie and Lola Christmas Special * - 7.5/10 - This is a show for young kids I think, but I found it strangely mesmerizing and quite good.
n/a- Just Can't Wait for Christmas - Tigger, Pooh, and Friends * - Just a little Christmas music video promoting the new Christmas movie.
n/a- Little Cesario (*?) - 6.5/10 - This old MGM cartoon aired as part of the Christmas Party on Boomerang, but it isn't really holiday themed, so I won't count it.
302- Corneil and Bernie - Santa Paws * - 7.5/10 - Weird little show from France(?).
303- Danny Phantom - The Fright Before Christmas * - 7.5/10 - Fun show.
304- A Flintstones Christmas Carol * - 5/10 - My third Flintstones Christmas foray, the 1994 TV movie. Fred was a bit of a jerk, wasn't he?
305- Cave Kids - Cave Kid Christmas * - ?/10 - I'll try to finish off the Flintstones Christmas canon.
306- Tailspin - A Jolly Molly Christmas * - 5.5/10 - It can snow anywhere if you're on the nice list.
307- Pinocchio's Christmas * - 6.5/10 - Another Rankin/Bass production that I had never heard of.
308- The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries - A Nutcracker Scoob * - 3/10 - Scrappy Doo dreck.
309- Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale * - 6.5/10 - Average.
310- The Bear That Couldn't Sleep (*?) - 7/10 - A Barney Bear cartoon.
311- Pink Panther - The Hand is Pinker Than the Eye - 7.5/10 - On Christmas Party.
312- Codename: Kids Next Door - Operation N.A.U.G.H.T.Y. * - 8/10 - Fun X-Men parody.
313- Sabrina, The Teenage Witch - Sabrina Claus * - 6/10 - Seems to be my theme lately, star of the show takes over the job for SC.
314- Smurfs Christmas Special * - 6/10 - From 1982. This second exposure to the Smurfs was slightly better than my first.
315- A Flintstones Family Christmas * - 6.5/10 - My fifth Flintstones Christmas show in the past 24 hours. I never liked The Flintstones, so I imagined that I would dislike them more and more as I watched them today. But this one was actually the best of the bunch.
316- Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past From the Future - 9/10 - Brilliant.
Monday, December 17th 2007-
317- All I Want For Christmas (2007) * - 7.5/10 - I think you can figure out all the surprises and conclusions in these Christmas movies ten minutes in, and yet I still quite enjoy them.
318- A Diva's Christmas Carol * - 5.5/10 - I think I'm Christmas Caroled out, although I am really looking forward to watching Scrooged again.
Tuesday, December 18th 2007-
319- Angel in the Family * - 6/10 - I think this story had a lot more potential than they were able to convey.
320- Christmas Caper * - 6.5/10 - I really wanted to hate this movie for some reason, maybe my misgivings about Shannen Doherty, but it was pretty good.
321- The Santa Clause - 6/10 - This could have been a much better movie. I like the story, the acting was ok, but I kept noticing little things that could have been much better. Missed opportunities for great lines and bad editing seemed to jump at me every few minutes
322- Monk - Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa Claus * - 7.5/10 - Good to hear he'll be back on NBC.
Wednesday, December 19th 2007-
323- Psych - Gus's Dad May Have Killed an Old Guy * - 8.5/10 - Great to see Claire Huxtable and Ernie Hudson again.
324- Home Improvement - 'Twas the Blight Before Christmas - 7/10 - I always enjoyed this sitcom. Not great, but always fun to watch if I stumbled upon it.
325- Happy Tree Friends - We're Scrooged * - 7/10 - A brand new Christmas cartoon.
n/a- Happy Tree Friends - Tinkle Bells * - Not really HTF, but a short from Mondo on their page right now.
326- Fred Claus * - 4.5/10 - I haven't enjoyed a Vince Vaughn film in quite awhile.
Thursday, December 20th 2007-
327- American Dad - The Most Adequate Christmas Ever * - 6/10 - A far far below adequate show rises to a mediocre level.
328- The Venture Bros. - A Very Venture Christmas * - 10/10 - My favorite show.
329- Jesus vs. Santa * - 3/10 - A lame mondo mini-show.
330- Thugs on Film - X-Mas 1999 * - 5/10 - Cute short with a take on the grinch story.
331- Thugs on Film - The Grinch * - 5.5/10 - Another mondo short.
332- Becker - Santa on Ice * - 6.5/10 - Terry Farrell
333- Becker - The Ghost of Christmas Presents * - 6/10 - A don't like the Bob character or storylines.
334- Family Matters - Miracle on Elm Street * - 5/10 - This was a pretty good show, if you subtract that Urkel character, who takes 2.5 points off my score. America used to like that guy?!
335- Family Matters - Fa La La La Laaggh! * - 3.5/10 - No mas.
336- Moral Orel - The Best Christmas Ever * - 7.5/10 - What a strange little show.
337- Full House - A Very Tanner Christmas * - 4/10 - I'm done with that series. I don't care if they have a Christmas episode marathon and I had nothing else to watch, never again will I watch an episode.
338- Home Improvement - Slip Sleddin' Away - 7.5/10 - I miss sledding.
339- Home Improvement - 'Twas the Night Before Chaos * - Flo was Jill's mom? Cool.
340- George Lopez - Christmas Punch * - 7/10 - Not a terrible series.
341- George Lopez - A Clear and Presentless Danger * - 5.5/10 - But not terribly original.
342- The Year Without a Santa Claus - 8/10 - Haven't seen this one in years and years. The special features on the new Deluxe DVD seem pretty cool.

Friday, December 21st 2007-
343- South Park S3 - Mr. Hanky's Christmas Classics - 8/10 - They did a great job with the songs in this episode.
344- South Park S3 - Mr. Hanky's Christmas Classics with commentary * - 6/10 commentary rating - Suicide?
345- South Park S4 - A Very Crappy Christmas - 7.5/10 - Great how they incorporate Jesus vs. Santa in this one.
346- South Park S4 - A Very Crappy Christmas with commentary * - 5/10 commentary rating - Did I hear a yawn?
347- South Park S2 - Merry Christmas Charlie Manson! * - 8/10 - I hear their titles or plots and can't imagine how they'll pull them off or get away with them, but they always manage to do a great job.
n/a?- South Park S3 - Chinpokomon - 7/10 - This episode is on two different South Park Christmas collections, but on fairly careful viewing I can't definitively say that this is a holiday episode. It has some holiday themes, and could possible be set in the holiday time window, but I can't say for sure.
n/a?- South Park S3 - Chinpokomon with commentary * - 5/10 commentary rating - Way too short.
348- South Park S1 - Mr. Hanky, The Christmas Poo - 9/10 - A 2nd grade labor scene, priceless. "I'm not fat, I'm festively plump."
349- South Park S1 - Mr. Hanky, The Christmas Poo with commentary * - 6/10 commentary rating - Ok.
350- South Park S3 - Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus. - 8/10 - Rod Stewart
351- South Park S3 - Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus. with commentary * -5/10 commentary rating - Matt and Trey may be my favorite agnostics.
352- South Park S6 - Red Sleigh Down * - 8/10 - Wow, they killed Christ on his birthday.
353- South Park S6 - Red Sleigh Down with commentary * - 5/10 commentary rating - We need longer commentaries from these guys.
354- Sabrina, the Teenage Witch - A Girl and Her Cat * - 6/10 - If I wasn't a cat person I'd rate it lower.
355- Sabrina, the Teenage Witch - Christmas Amnesia * - 5/10 - Bearable.
356- Sabrina, the Teenage Witch - Sabrina, Nipping at Your Nose * - 5/10 - Martin Mull phones in this appearance.
357- Step by Step - Christmas Story * - 7/10 - First time ever seeing this series. Great cameo by Don Knotts.
358- Family Matters - It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Urkel * - 5/10 - Extra points for being an interesting take on one of my top ten films.
359- Family Matters - Christmas is Where the Heart Is * - 5/10 - I broke my promise to never watch this again. In my defense, the DVR was already set to record these when I made that vow, and I would have canceled them if I had realized it.
360- Full House - Our Very First Christmas Show * - 6/10 - A Christmas miracle!
361- Good Times - The Traveling Christmas (*?) - 6/10 - I really preferred Good Times the first three seasons with John Amos.
362- Malcolm in the Middle - Christmas - 9/10 - I love this series, great flashbacks to pre-show Christmas'.
363- Malcolm in the Middle - Christmas Trees - 9/10 - I love Malcolm's math, and the opening baby package.
364- King of the Hill - The Unbearable Blindness of Laying * - 8/10 - An extra point for the great title.
365- King of the Hill - Hillenium * - 8/10 - Hamsters and gerbils can cross breed can't they?
366- The Tick - The Tick Loves Santa * - 7/10 - First time I've seen this animated series, despite being a fan of the comic when it first appeared years and years ago. Not bad.
367- Hope and Faith - Christmas Time * - 5/10 - Another first time series viewing. Cute actresses, not much else positive to say.
Saturday, December 22nd 2007-
368- A Visit to Santa * - 1/10 - So bad it's almost good. I'm hoping the Rifftrax for this makes the pain go away.
369- A Visit to Santa with Rifftrax * - 7/10 Rifftrax rating -My first Rifftrax listen beyond the samples. I'll definitely listen to this again in the next few days. Great stuff, but I still like Joel the best.
370- South Park S7 - It's Christmas in Canada * - 7.5/10 - I often "save the best for last", so I haven't watched much SP the last 6 or so years.
371- South Park S7 - It's Christmas in Canada with commentary * - 6/10 commentary rating - I love how they have all Canadians look that way.
372- South Park S8 - Woodland Critter Christmas * - 9/10 - I'm amazed at how far they keep going.
373- Casper's Haunted Christmas * - 5.5/10 - Bizarre animation.
374- Dexter's Laboratory - unknown Christmas episode * - 6/10 - My first (?) Dexter's Lab.
375- Johnny Bravo - 'Twas the Night * - 6/10 - My first Johnny Bravo.
376- Spin City - Criss Cross * - 7/10 - I'm glad they got rid of this girlfriend, not nearly as much chemistry with Mike as the later Heather Locklear role.
377- Spin City - Monkey Business * - 7/10 - The monkey bits weren't very funny.
378- Spin City - My Dinner With Caitlin * - 8/10 - Great tennis gag!
379- Spin City - Toy Story * - 7/10 - A very early Dakota Fanning guest role.
380- South Park S8 - Woodland Critter Christmas with commentary * - 6/10 - Just went I think I see exactly how far they can go, they surprise me.
381- Spin City - An Office and a Gentleman * - 6/10 - The Michael J. Fox seasons are better of course, but Charlie Sheen isn't too bad.
382- That 70's Show - The Best Christmas Ever * - 5/10 - I could fall for Laura Prepon.
383- That 70's Show - Hyde's Christmas Rager * - 6/10 - A Robert Hays sighting.
Sunday, December 23rd 2007-
384- That '70s Show - Christmas * - 6/10 - Bad Santa.
385- King of the Hill - 'Twas the Nut Before Christmas * - 7/10 - Poor Bill.
386- King of the Hill - The Father, the Son, and J.C. * - 7/10 - The other J.C.
387- Jackie Chan Adventures - A Jolly J-Team X-Mas * - 7/10 - First time watching this series, had no idea that it even existed actually. Not too bad.
388- Stroker and Hoop - I Saw Stroker Killing Santa * - 8/10 - I'm a sucker for time travel stories. I'll watch this episode again.
389- Ben 10 - Merry Christmas * - 5.5/10 - Another first time series, probably the last time I'll watch this kids show.
390- Dora the Explorer - A Present for Santa * - 7/10 - I see how young kids could enjoy and learn from this show.
391- George of the Jungle - Jungle Bells; The Goat of Christmas Present * - 7/10 - Decent
392- Robot Chicken's Half-Assed Christmas Special - 8/10 - This show always makes me laugh out loud at least once.
393- Tom Goes to the Mayor - Rats Off to Ya - 7.5/10 - What a quirky show.
394- The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (*?) - 7.5/10 - Another rare Rankin/Bass endeavor, this one more mystical than usual.
395- The Madagascar Penguins in: A Christmas Caper - 10/10 - So darn funny. I love the change in appearance on the poodle as he becomes vicous.
n/a- Boo Moon * - 7/10 - I watched this because it was on a Christmas compilation, but it has nothing to do with the holidays.
396- A Polar Bear Christmas * - 5/10 - An old Russian cartoon that I can't find anywhere on the net.
397- Jack Frost (1934) * - 7/10 - That silly cub!
398- Winter Draws On * - 5/10 - One of those older cartoons with a follow the bouncing ball song.
399- Toys Will Be Toys * - 5/10 - Another ball bouncer.
400- Somewhere in Dreamland * - 7/10 - Ever pinch/stab yourself to see if you were dreaming?
401- Jingle Bells * - 7/10 - Nice old short.
402- The Fifth-Column Mouse * - 6/10 - Another cat vs. mice war.

Monday, December 24th 2007-
404- That 70's Show - Winter * - 5/10 - Who hasn't wanted to steal all the kids toys?
405- Coach - Christmas Brains * - 7/10 - I always like Craig T. Nelson, and am a Minnesota fan, so I would probably tolerate this show no matter how bad it got, but always felt it to be above average.
406- Coach - My True Love Gave To Me... * - 7.5/10 - The gift switcheroo may be an old idea, but they execute it well here.
407- Dharma and Greg - Haus Arrest * - 5.5/10 - This series had potential, but quickly faded in my opinion.
408- Married With Children - You Better Watch Out * - 7.5/10 - I think this is the first MwC that I've actually enjoyed.
409- Married With Children - Christmas * - 5/10 - Forgettable. I seriously can't remember anything about this show, which I saw less than 36 hours ago. Perhaps my brain is overloaded.
410- Holidays With the Stars * - 4/10 - The link is to the 2005 one, I think the one I saw was current. It was lame, just butt kissing.
n/a- The Lorax - 7.5/10 - I'm confused. Why would ABC Family highlight this as part of their 25 Days of Christmas?
411- Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer - 9/10 - For some reason, I always get confused as to which Rankin/Bass show introduced the Island of Misfit Toys, always think it is one of the later/lesser shows, and am surprised to see them in Rudolph.
412- 12 Tiny Christmas Tales * - 5.5/10 - I was excited to see a show with Bill Plympton animation, but this show was a little too bizarre. Some cute moments.
413- What's New, Scooby Doo? - Scooby-Doo Christmas * - 5/10 - Did they ever have an original plot?
414- How I Met Your Mother - How Lily Stole Christmas * - 7/10 - Seen this series twice now, and enjoyed both.
Merry Christmas! Tuesday, December 25th 2007-
415- It's a Wonderful Life - 9.5/10 - IMDB has this as the 31st best movie of all time, I'm thinking top ten easy.
416- The Bob Newhart Show - His Busiest Season - 8/10 - Free to view on AOL, along with what appears to be thousands of other shows.
417- Frosty the Snowman - 7.5/10 - While I loved this as a kid, and will always appreciate it, on each year's viewing I find more flaws.
418- Supernatural - A Very Supernatural Christmas * - 7/10 - Online now at cw.
419- Frosty Returns * - 3/10 - Looks sort of Peanut-ish in the animation. Horrible story.
420- Everybody Loves Raymond - The Toaster * - 8/10 - I admit, I'm a re-gifter.
421- King of the Hill - Livin' on Reds, Vitamin C and Propane * - 8/10 - As I watch all these holiday KotH episodes, I'm beginning to think I missed out by not really watching this series when it was on.
422- The Animated Nativity * - 7/10 - Had to watch a "real" Christmas show today. Storyplay by Orson Scott Card ?!
423- Will & Grace - A Little Christmas Queer * - 7/10 - Love seeing Wings stars.
424- The Bernie Mac Show - Road to Tradition * - 7.5/10 - Only seen this series a few times now, but it looks like it may have been a good series.
425- The Bernie Mac Show - A Christmas Story * - 7/10 - A dog angel?
426- Night Court - Santa Goes Downtown * - 7.5/10 - Great Michael J. Fox appearance.
427- Night Court - Let it Snow * - 7/10 - This was a decent ensemble comedy, a little dated now.
428- One on One - Santa Baby * - 7.5/10 - Another first time series viewing I believe, not too bad.
429- Roseanne - Santa Claus * - 7/10 - Great episode actually, but took a bit off the score because I can't see Roseanne without picturing her desecrate the National Anthem.
430- Roseanne - It's No Place Like Home for the Holidays * - 4/10 - Added a point for a Shelly Winters appearance, and another point for Morgan Fairchild, but subtracted 5 points for having to see Sandra Bernhard.
