Finding the region code for a DVD
Is there a way to find out what the region code for a DVD is, if it's not listed on the packaging and I can't find anything about it on the internet? It's not a bootleg or anything, just a cheapie from the store from a minor distributor.
I tried to look through the features on WMP and VLC, and on the disc drive on my computer as well, but I can't see anything that will tell what the region code is. Am I missing something that should be right in front of my face? It's not a major big deal or anything, but I'm trying to submit the profile for the disc to dvdspot so I can add it to my collection, and I'd like to be able to accurately say if it's region 1 or 0. I figure it has to be one or the other. Thanks. |
If you are really curious, you could download the free trial of PowerDVD and that will tell you (probably a couple of other programs that would do the same also if you prefer another).

it should be printed on the disc?

Disc title is irrelevant.
Got PowerDVD, as advised. Problem solved. Thank you. |
