Hi! Everybody. I wonder if you could help. I have seen on ebay a lot of sellers selling the "FRIENDS COMPLETE SEASON 1 - 10 40 DVDs Gift-Box " its states it is the only genuine release in Hong Kong or Asia. Its exactly like region 1 and it does look like it is a genuine product. It is even sold on sci fi boxsets.com

Without looking at the link itself, there are 99% chances are that it's a bootleg.

Besides, I live in R3 area myself, and I never heard such a thing as season 1-10 boxset - at least on legit release.

I think every region has this boxset but as for it being a legit copy, I couldn't say. Ebay is notorious for pirates, though.

Stick with your gut, if you feel it's fake (and obviously you do, otherwise you wouldn't post this) then don't buy it. Personally, it doesn't look geniune to me.

@ grundle I have been looking at this site for quite some time. I felt the time was right to join as I a had a query and knew that this was the place to post it. I am not "spamming to sell illegal bootlegs", I am a registered member of ebay but I am not that person selling those products. I am quite offened at your suggestion and never have or plan to sell illegal bootlegs on ebay so please don't judge everyone on your actions.

By the way, there are a TON of bootlegs coming from the UK, so don't think Asia is the only place they are coming from. I am seeing the most obvious bootlegs (movies still in theatres) coming from the UK...

On forums like this, whenever a new poster shows up, and their first post gives a link to some Asian website that sells DVDs, the new poster is almost always a spammer who is trying to sell illegal bootlegs.

But not always. That's why I said what I said, but also said that I might be wrong.

I love how in one of those auctions you linked to.. he has all kinds of disclaimers, and stresses to read everything in the auction very carefully, and then way down at the bottom, in TEENY TINY text, there is this disclaimer:

"please note that sometimes the color and disign of the box could be a bit diferent to the foto but the dvds and the rest is always the same like the discription, depend what I have in stock"

Yeah that sounds REAL official to me

^ for the first ebay link, the spines shown are of the digipak insert sticking out instead of the title side sticking out. does that make sense? set should be legit.
