Looks like no made-for-tv Popeye cartoons in the upcoming sets

According to tvshowsondvd.com they (WB) will stop with the last of the 1957 theatrical shorts.I guess WB owns the made-for-tv cartoons but has no plans to release them.

Not exactly a big loss. The 1960s TV cartoons are already on DVD. I'm not even sure if I want to buy any of the Popeye theatricals once the 2nd volume comes out (with the rest of the Fleischers and the B&W Famous shorts).

i think its the cushy half-arsed america hating corporate dim bulbs that are censoring thes cartoons again . we need to let them know it is are rite to have these censored popeye things.

True-but still I would like to own them all.Sorta like the Three Stooges-once Curly left there weren't as good.
