Tons. I totally buy films just for the sake of nostalgia.

Off the top of my head, here are a few.

the Witch Mountain movies
the Loony Tunes sets
The Brain that Wouldn't Die
Rikki Tikki Tavi
Kimba the White Lion sets
Ultraman
Marine Boy
all the older Disney films

Still my favorite movie ever
I used to have a copy of that movie I made off of cable. I knew most of the dialogue by heart. I wore out the tape out and it broke. When I finally got a DVD player its was one of the first movies I ever bought. My family and friends think that I am nuts for liking this movie.

Back on topic: I buy just about every movie I remember seeing. Sometimes it doesnt work out so well though. A few movies I thought were great when I was 10-12 just don't make the cut now.

Some titles I have to and do own.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension! (still waiting for Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League )
Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon
Flash Gordon
Star Wars Original 3
Escape to Witch Mountain
Smokey and the Bandit
Any Which Way But Loose, Can
Indiana Jones
Kentucky Fried Movie
Blues Brothers
The Black Hole
Rambo
Stripes
1941
Battle Beyond the Stars
Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

Too many to list. We had an antenna ( before cable tv ) to get HBO when I was a kid and we watched alot of 70s and 80s movies.

Later

The movies I saw as a kid or teenager at the theater are now without a doubt some of my favourite DVD's.
Films like Jaws, The Island of Dr. Moreau, Superman 1 + 2, The Godfather 1 + 2 ,The Beyond, The Road Warrior, The Thing, great memories from all, and oh, how wonderful they still are.

I try to limit myself to the ones I know I will watch again and that are fairly good quality movies (I've gone back and watched so many VHS tapes of movies I used to love and was bored out of my mind! I would never buy DVDs of those.) Ones I did buy on DVD include:

Pretty much all of the Disney cartoons up to Lion King
Balto
Anastasia
All Dogs go to Heaven
Many of the Disney Treasure Collections (Silly Symphonies, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Donald)
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Nightmare before Christmas
Jack
Princess Bride
Star Wars
Indiana Jones

Also, almost all of the TV Shows on DVD that I own, I own because I loved them growing up, including:
I Love Lucy
Home Improvement
Boy Meets World
Full House

I was a kid in the 70's and frequently feel geriatric and irrelevant here

we got HBO in the mid 70s, when I was still under 10, and a lot of these films made a huge impression on me and were the spark of a lifelong passion
Prisoner Of Second Avenue
Phantom Of The Paradise
Paper Moon
The Stepford Wives

I also have fond memories of seeing titles of dubious merit like these theatrically and loving the experience- I hope to never be without these, 'cause I still enjoy them
King Kong('76)
Prophecy
StarCrash
Moonraker
The Amityville Horror

And how I wish I had these on disc
Almost Summer
Jennifer('78)
Goldengirl
Wanda Nevada
The Brink's Job
California Dreaming
King Of The Gypsies
Looking For Mr Goodbar

Disney stuff is the first thing that pops to mind. Lots of theatrically released movies that I saw for the first time on The Wonderful World of Disney:

Rascal
Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar
Yellowstone Cubs
Robin Hood (animated)

Rikki Tikki Tavi
all the Rankin/Bass Christmas specials
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
The Pippi Longstocking Collection (loved these as a kid)

and lots of old '50's & '60's horror and sci fi movies that I remember watching with my mother on afternoon tv.

Wow!

I actually bought and watched both the '76 King Kong and Prophecy (it's not the one with Walken kids, this is about a murderous mutant bear, it's awesome) in the last week ! It was the first time I saw Prophecy in it's original aspect ratio, I frickin loved the movie even more now, it looked and sounded terrific, what a great disc to own.

King Kong I re-bought as a special edition DVD, including a 25 minute making of and deleted scenes. (!) Huge fan of this film, great memories of seeing that on the big screen, you can keep the Jackson version.
Man, did Jessica Lange look good in this film or what ?

There's a lot of good movies here, so I wouldn't think these are owned simply because of the memories.

Some that I own more because of fond memories than because I love them now (although I still do like and watch them):

Summer Rental
The Cat in the Hat (animated)
Muppets Take Manhattan
One Crazy Summer
Uncle Buck

"Darby O'Gill & the Little People," "Bambi," "Dumbo," and "Jungle Book" for things I liked as a kid that were kid fare. "Help!" and "To Sir, With Love" for movies I watched on TV whenever they were on when I was under 12. They weren't standard kid fare, but have stayed with me, and I own them in either DVD or VHS form. I can think of more things that I liked from age 12 onwards, but I don't think those count as pure kid things, because you try to start thinking older by that age, anyways.

Willy Wonka, Help! (Beatles), Dumbo, Star Wars ('77), Looney Tunes, Max Fleischer Popeye, Around the World in 80 Days ('56), 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (Disney), Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Fantasia, Treasure Island (Disney), and The Three Stooges (Curly and Shemp). I picked up the DVDs for these almost immediately. 80 Days was one title I was really pushing for a release and it was a huge event when it finally came out.

The only childhood favorite I don't have on DVD is Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure. This year is the 30th anniversary, but it doesn't look like 20th Century Fox is interested in a DVD release.

Incredible Shrinking Woman. What the heck is the hold up already??

And the Last Polka. Again....

EDIT...my bad...I thought this was for childhood faves that you want but aren't on DVD.

As far as stuff that's on DVD already ...I don't know if I ever would have considered buying Battle Beyond the Stars if it wasn't for the fact I saw it as a wee lad. I wasn't that impressed by it as a little kid, and it sure is a helluva lot worse now that I am grown.

Mary Poppins is another one. A good movie and all, but come on...I know I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't have some kind of connection to my early years. Same can be said for Fox and the Hound, probably the first Disney movie I remember seeing.

The only one that comes to my mind hasn't been released on dvd, and is never shown on tv. It's The Truth About Spring, with Hayley Mills. It's silly...but I miss it.
