requiem for a dream - sure the last 15 minutes are very powerful, but the rest is just boring.
children of men - trash
fight club - i have no idea why people love this movie.
brick - this movie's retarded. no one knows what they're saying. its real annoying.

Apparently Kubrick was a real dick about everything.

Ley Lines-Thankfully, Rainy Dog (Which came with the collection) made up for this one.
Black Orpheus-Just a slight letdown.
Lone Wolf and Cub 5: Baby Cart in the Land of Demons-Ric Meyers said it was the best in the series, but I thought it was one of the worst.

Too many to list in this thread but the most recent was probably The Departed.
But I love Children of Men, so what do I know.

Braveheart - too much Hollywoodization

Raging Bull.
Had never seen it. It's ranked #4 on the latest AFI poll -- high praise indeed. So I bought it blind and watched it. And then promptly sold it. Didn't want it in my collection, as I have no desire to ever watch it again. Great acting, yes. But there were no likeable characters in it for me. Dirty-mouthed, violent (wife-beating), alcoholic, abusive and downright unlikeable characters. And as far as the boxing scenes themselves go, I think those in the original Rocky are just as good if not better.
A huge disappointment for me.

There's a lot of movies listed that I didn't like when I saw them but luckily I only rented.
Some that I blind bought however are:
Oldboy - bought the limited 3-disc set, didn't really like it, the "revelation" at the end was weak, IMO. I'll have to watch it again since I know what to expect now.
Eraserhead - I love David Lynch but I have no idea what is going on in this movie. Yet, I'm still oddly fascinated by it!
Transformers - I like Michael Bay (yeah, I'm the one), I missed it in theaters but I just HAD to have the 2-disc version I knew I was in for mindless entertainment but they forgot the entertainment part.
