Best Picture Noms and Winners not on DVD

Can anyone give any updates on the release of or upgrade of the following movies? It's astounding that some of these are not released yet... I need these to complete my Best Picture collection (as well as some from the 20's and 30's not named here).

Well, LA Confidential is available. In fact, it's been said that Warner plans on rereleasing it for the 10th Anniversary (although it looks unlikely that it'll be released in time).

LA Confidential is out. It's not the most comprehensive release though.

Thanks, I was looking for any re-release info on this one... So much for 10th anniversary set...

Unless you can get it very cheap, at this point I would just wait for a re-release of L.A. Confidential, which hopefully won't take too much longer. The disc came out in 1998 and the transfer is kinda dated now.

Warner is supposed to be releasing Quo Vadis next year.

The Last Command (1928, Josef von Sternberg) is a biggie. Criterion has confirmed that they'll release some of his silents, which probably means they have the rights to the ones Paramount controls (the other two are Docks of New York and Underworld). Emil Jannings won an Oscar for Best Actor for his performance. I think it was only nominated for BP.
