He also told me something likely went wrong in their relationship for Blockbuster to just offer for rental and not for sale, likely after the Benoit incident. Its interesting that after the Benoit incident, Vengeance (had to be edited) and Great American Bash (first DVD after incident) were the last 2 to be sold sealed, so maybe they noticed the sales decline after releasing GAB so they came to a decision for not offering them for sale. Not exactly sure, but something must have happened in their relationship for them to do that. I am just going finish up the Blockbuster exclusive collection for this year then will buy the KOCH versions of ppvs like i have done in the past; all my ppvs this year were the Blockbuster ones, while my other ppvs throughout the years were KOCH. Hopfully other chains like Best Buy, FYE or others will offer some sort of bonus disc with ppvs next year. |

I too can't wait for the bonus disc Ballbuster Exclusive to end. We've got what, Cyber Sunday, Survivor Series, and Armageddon through 2007, and NYR Is cancelled so the first 08 PPV is Rumble. Let's hope it stops within the next 3 releases. |

Iv been watching TNA for the past yr or so i assume and wanted to go back and watch some older dvds of PPVs and whatnot to stuff iv missed.
im actually looking for reccomendations and the best place to buy wrestling dvds |
They should replace Cena with Stone Cold in the middle and add Mick Foley. |
|
Wait, when are they planning to release that thing...2008?
Sweet Cover Art. But the way it's set up. I kinda wish they released an anthology set, and they don't have too give us a year by year break down (even though I wouldn't mind it), but a 3 volume/ 5 year retrospective would do. 93 to 97, 98 to 02 and 03 to 07 sounds about right. 3 discs each, 9 discs total. And why is cena front and center? |

And why is cena front and center? I was wondering myself too on to why Cena is in front and center, if anyone Austin should be the one in center since basically turned RAW into "attitude" and basically helped in beating WCW in ratings in 98-99. Cena should have been in the far corner. |
Wow, 15 years already. This is a definite buy for me.
I remember watching the first episode on USA. Always liked Vince as an announcer. |
Love the cover for that 15th Anniv. set...will definitely be picking that up. I agree that Foley should've been somewhere on the cover.
|
Like the cover but Cena shouldn't be on it. Austin should be in the center. I just hope it has few Attitude era stuff because I hate those damn blurs.
|
Couldn't agree more. Cena does not belong in the center at all. And Foley should definitely be on it (probably as Mankind). Frankly, I'm surprised they put Bret on the cover.

Don't need to buy a recap dvd, I remember all 15 years of raw.

FACE IT..................whether we like it or not......(and I do not)..............VINCE is going to force Cena down our throats.................he is "THE GUY the COMPANY is BEING BUILT AROUND"............and no matter what, he is catering to what sells now, especially to women and childen......and that man is JOHN CENA. BUT IN MY OPINION RAW will always be AUSTIN, ROCK, DX, and JERICHO (especially his Debut which was one of the greatest RAW MOMENTS EVER). |
I was there live when Jericho Debuted, right next to him as he interfered with the match. It was awesome!!!
I'm so sick of John Cena, and his 5 moves of DOOM! Anything with cena is not the best of. :rimshot: |

It better be sometime in 2009, because if it's in 2007 or 2008, they certainly don't have any confidence in any matches they're going to have in 2008 because there won't be any on this "best" of.
January will mark the beginning of the 15th year…working towards year 16. That means they will have completed 15 years. It wouldn’t make sense to put matches from after that point on a 15th Anniversary dvd. Come on guys… Jan 1993-Jan 2008 = 15 years |

Frankly, I'm not concerned about whether there is material from 2008 on this dvd or not. I'd much rather have retro footage than time devoted to the year 2008 where I'm sure WWE will feed us more of the crap they have for the past year. 2007 won't differ greatly from 2008 IMO.

Holy crap-I went to FYE today again to try and pick up Victory Road 07-no luck, BUT
FYE Is having a HUGE sale on TNA DVDs-all PPV's including Victory Road 07, No Surrender 07(FYE Exclusive due out 11/20), and recent releases Hard Justice 07, Slammiversary, etc are $9.99. Some of the older PPVs were $7.49. Unfortunately the *newer* "Feature" DVDs, like Abyss, Christian, are both only discounted a few bucks, they're like $19.99. I know the "Knockouts" DVD was 9.99, as well as AJ Vol 1, and some others (forget which). So go ahead and check your local FYE-it's in their new flyer-they also have a deal where if you buy 2 WWE DVDs and get a free WWE Duffle bag. FYE is also having a sale on UFC DVDs that's comparable to the sale at Best Buy (PPV's 9.99) |
I tried for Victory Road 07 at another FYE today and had no luck either. It should be on the website either tomorrow or Monday so I guess I'll order it then.

Today's haul:
http://i10.tinypic.com/6t2vcif.jpg Victory Road 2007 (x2) Hard Justice 2007 Slammiversary 2007 Destination X 2007 Each DVD was $9.99, so I ended up paying $54.24 for all 5 with tax. Awesome deal. What makes it even sweeter is about 2 weeks ago, I had bought HJ2007, Dest X 2007, & Slam. 2007 for $14.99 each at Best Buy-I returned them and got back $48.85, then went to FYE and bought the 5 you see above, so only about $6 came out of pocket today for all 5 DVDs. Sweet. They had the Cena disc on a cart getting ready to be stashed in the back til Tuesday-got a quick look at it, it's selling for $22.99 on sale, and as usual with FYE there's probably gonna be a mail in rebate as well. Good luck to those of you still on the hunt for Victory Road 07, have a great weekend to all! *I'm looking for the following TNA DVDs- -Destination X 2006 -Sacrifice 2006 -No Surrender 2006 Please PM me if you have available for trade/sale. |
